Interesting idea on those lights. Only issue I could see with them here in Florida is how well do they stand up under water? They would have been submerged at the Florida Rally this year.
Just bought my ticket. For some reason sleeping in an Army truck in June hold no interest for my wife. Will bring my ten year old son, after all it is his truck, and eight year old daughter. I will add more folks as I find out if any are coming along. Any word on the size of the spots? I...
I run the permanent antique tag on my deuce and trailers. I do not drive it them around all the time as the insurance is limited to similar driving and "sunny day" drives. The insurance is less then $100 year and has 5,000 miles per year. If I were going to drive it a lot then I would look at...
Tony,
Welcome to Steel Soldiers. Those are some very nicely renovated vehicles. What is the gray colored truck in the last photo? That is a nice looking and sized vehicle.
Maddawg,
I looked through my TMs (compliments of SCSG-G4) and could not find anything showing the exact dimensions either with or without the sides folded down.
Nice looking truck and welcome to the world of extreme RVs. Build a camper out of the back and join the rest of us, all the cool kids are doing it. The 109 is a great truck and nice to see one with a winch.
If you are planning on sandblasting all I can say is buy LOTS of sand. I went through two bags (100 lbs) of sand just blasting the fuel tank. Granted they put some Sand colored CARC on my truck in a layer that is amazingly thick. Nice looking vehicle for the start of a project.
Thanks for your service and the photos. I would love to have an old 577 for running around. Always thought that it would make a perfect rig for hunting out of. Some where to stay and a built in deer stand.
First question is do you want a 109 that is a camper? If that is the case then this is a good start. From what I could tell from the pictures it does not look like it has much of a rust/water problem. If the outer shell leaks then they will quickly develop rust along the bottom of the inner...
As you head East through Nebraska you will pass this place in Lexington. If the tires are different then standard civilian ones I bet they can tell you where to find what you want.

Westex,
Take a look at the M353 series of trailers. It can handle 7,000 lbs and is much lower to the ground. Just not sure if it is wide enough for the bobcat.
I do want two of the windows from a side if available. This is the shade, glass, the top piece it slides into and the rails for the slide. Please let me know if this is workable and the price. Are the ladders the the aluminum (Light) or steel (heavy) ones?
