Uh, I forgot to ask and hope it's not too late; can I have 2 coats of True Value Spray Laquer applied to the cardboard for stength and durability? I'm worried it might suffer the same fate as my plastic tote if this isn't done.
Thanks you for your support!
Sorry, forgot to mention; although I'm a helpless idiot mechanically, I can and would be honored to answer some basic questions about deuces for you. I stumbled my way through and bought my first deuce before i found this site, and i got SCREWED real bad. Please PM me and I'll give you my...
Welcome to Steel Soldiers Sir, and thank you for your service! We have several members from around the Lansing area that you will hopefully hear from-good luck.
I do the exact same as wscougarx backing up, also in parades, and I used 'split shifting' always with my M109 towing my CUCV after I was taught how to do it properly by a very seasoned and knowledgeable fellow SS member- what a dream that was after i got the hang of it. Had to sell my 109...
The Michigan Military Vehicle Preservation Association welcomes you to our Fall Board Meeting. We will be discussing our first year accomplishments and improvements/dates for 2012 events, in addition to a host of other subjects. All members and interested parties are encouraged and welcome to...
Sorry to hear about your misfortune and I truly do feel your pain. I had something very similar happen to me with my first Deuce a few years ago, before I met, became friends with, and learned a whole bunch about deuces and received help from from some great people in the club I belong to ...
A prize I will treasure and safeguard forever! Thank you Lane and everyone else; most fun and relaxation I've had in 6 months-not to mention the great MIMVPA members to spend the time with.
Hey there Lane,
I would be able to extend the appropriate level of thanks if I knew what it was. I think it is a large gimble bearing, right?
Da Wrench
I talked w/Dave and will bring the regular 105, but will need some help putting the top on properly when I get over there-I'll pay big money for some help; fiftycent. :)
Without my beloved 109, no one will be confused about who it is when i pull in-it will look like Jefro and the Beverly Hillbillies (if I can keep the s$^% tied down).
Sounds good Matt; a third arm woulld allow me to wrench on more equipment, which would please everyone. I probably won't make it until Wednesday or later. (unless a C5A or Chinook drops dowwn out back here and picks me and my junk up)
Do you guy's have an appropriate prize for the farthest distance traveled to the ride? I'll be striking out from Casper WY shortly. It better be good or I will cry.
