This wouldn't be the first time I've heard of an FMTV with a bellhousing leak.

They certainly are not a bolt in. The axletech pumpkins are centered, LMTV pumpkins are offset. Spring perches in different locations etc etc

3116, C7, or 3126?

Check your fuel lines. If they haven't been replaced it's probably a good preventative measure.

If you mean a suspenion like an LMTV being a solid axle leaf springs then yes they are the same, however the axles are an entirely different part.

If you have an A1 yes there are engine compartment switches to start/stop the engine. If you have a 3116, then no.
