My kind of guy:wink:. I am more of a capitalist pig.
I like the idea of letting people have the choice of having a serviced truck. Maybe have a choice like at the automatic carwashes,
no servicing (other than what it takes to get it off the GL lot)
minimum - oil and filters changed
Medium -...
Welcome to the site. It is always good to see another Minnesotan join the ranks. I bought my deuce from Andy and have had nothing but good experiences in dealing with him. Also, Scott (Steel Soldiers::Military Vehicles Supersite - View Profile: tie6044) from Blane, MN has deuces too. I have...
I really liked the early Junkyard Wars, this was no Junkyard Wars.
It seemed to be a combination of Junkyard Wars, Monster Garage, and American Chopper.
You have the finished result of Junkyard Wars, with the prizes from Monster Garage, and the family drama of American Chopper.
I think the...
I just bought a 12v Batteryminder from Northern. I had one of my deuce batteries charging with a normal charger, took it off the charger and left it "rest" in the basement (60deg vs -10deg outside) This morning the battery read about 10.7v. Do you think the batteryminder will recondition this...
I found my own answer:
Density of motor oil 56.2 lb/ft^3
Density of water 62.4 lb/ft^3
Density of ice 57.4 lb/ft^3
I am not sure how the density of oil changes below freezing.
Well I have been in a holding pattern since the weather has turned colder. I don't really want to be running WMO below freezing and I am out of storage space. But so far I have only run about 10 gallons through it and all seems well.
I was wondering about this the other day as I have some...
Interesting read. Even our old army trucks engines were state of the art at one time. I didn't realize the gassers were that much less efficient than the multi's
Yeah I can figure. I am 5'7" and think the cab is a bit cramped at times.
I think that compared to the number of A2's made vs A3's you will have a more valuable truck for collectors in the future.
I have the manifold heater and am not sure it is functioning correctly. I tried cranking it for awhile with the heater and nothing. A quick squirt of ether and it started right up.
We had a blizzard yesterday and I thought it would be fun to drive to the hardware store, and it was. :-D
Is it plywood or cardboard or something else? Yeah, the cheapness factor is a good thing. Does it stay behind the grill by itself or do you have some zip ties holding it in place?
Any updates on this?
How much work is it to remove the water pump fan in the spring time?
Now that the weather is cold, it got me thinking about an electric fan for my "virgin" deuce .
I am from SE Minnesota and I got my deuce this summer. I have driven quite a bit in the rain but not in the snow yet. I got mine from Andy and some of the benefits of buying private party is that you will get to test drive it and look it over much better than if you get one from GL, also you...
I ended up going to a different auto supplier that carries WIX products. The product code is 15131. I did a quick search and it looks like this place has them for $0.30 less shipping.
WIX-15131: Wix 15131 Wix Light Duty Filters - Buy Online at Wholesale or Jobber Price
I hope that helps.
Goldneagle, that thing is very cool! Do you have any plans for it like making it into a camper that would make the M109 campers cry, keep it stock or something else?
Please forgive my ignorance about CTIS. So for a manual control can you just put some sort of manual valve to have a fill/hold/drain for each axle with a pressure gauge?
