Thanks for the encouragement. The engine is currently stuck..but i have a feeling that its probably just humidity that locked the rings..i have a special trick up my sleeve for that. If it roasted a head gasket or the evhaust filled up with water thats another story..there isnt any evidence of...
There are always challenges..im spoiled at the shipyard..they have almost unlimited tools and if i need bodies to run chainfalls etc they're there..in my yard i work solo for the most part. Being in two places at once to be my own third hand can be frustraing.
Time and weather are gonna bite me...
You bet..as soon as it lands in my yard ill post it up. Might be this week..contingent on the work schedule this weekend. Today is day 16 of my work week 8-Z.. i am fighting with the port side rudder bolts on this tugboat..dry torqued to 15,000 lbs/ft on the nuts and the fitted bolts are...
I was hoping to take a pattern to the local glass guys..there isnt a lot of custom cutting that happens up here in that industry these days. The kids they hire dont have the experience and i want to do my own install so id like to have them right the first time. (You break you buy lol..)...
Hi everyone. I have an M135 coming to the yard this week..i was wondering if anyone had dimensions or even better patterns for the glass..the truck its self is in ok shape..engine has stuck from sitting but it appears it would be from humidity not water intrusion..im planning to pull it and...
Hi, I've searched and come up empty and i dont have one to measure and i was hoping someone would know the diameter of the air pak piston that applies the juice to the wheel cylinders.
Thanks in advance..
Does anyone know of repair parts or interchange info for the torque rod ends of the rear suspension of the WC62/63?will cckw parts press in there?
Thanks

Ive been using mine in its modified state for a few years now..its a beast..and its truly a rubber tired locomotive..ive used it to drag tandem truck around with the brakes all locked up and had 10,000# swinging from the jib while driving around in the yard..you can hardly tell theres any load...
hi,i'm in need of 3 combat rims.does anyone here have a few they'd part with?also has anyone contacted Stockton wheel to see if they'd re-pop this type of a wheel?
thanks
check to see that the oil pump is installed(timed) correctly.
i would;
remove #1 spark plug and set the engine to tdc #1 compression,
verify the crankshaft timing indicator is where it's supposed to be (0 degrees),
remove the distributor cap and verify that the rotor is pointing to the plug wire...
actually...
it's a 6-V-71 blower,off a vee engine.
it'll use a different intake manifold.i think offenhauser still sells them.
came off a good running engine, but it's been sitting around the shop a few years.

i spoke to my neighbour,he designs n.o.s systems for anything that runs gas.
n.o.s. is perfect for building torque.(port injected)
the only thing would be you'd need a huge bottle or multiple units if you wanted to use it lots.
he sure had a laugh when i told him it was 100ci per cylinder...
