Buying a M1009
I thought it was 21, or 18, but I could be wrong on all counts. Having owned a Civy 08 as my first truck, expect a lot of work, engine, electrical(thats a nightmare), and anything on the thing. Mine was in great shape, but it was hardly driven by an Ex Army Truck Driver. But I spent more time... -

Can't say I would do that, but maybe he was taking the back roads. I did max out the burban a few times, 3/4 ton truck on a trailer, behind the 1/2 ton burb, and no trailer brakes. It towed well, could only do 50, but that was more than fast enough. I think the burb is rated at about 8K... -

Its on the top of a Suburban. Ground to top of roof is about 6'10 or so, plus 8.5 feet, gives you over 15'. And most of the time the antenna lays back, so its about 15' tall. I have hit the bottoms of bridges that were marked 15'.- Goose2448

Sorry for the confusion on the antenna thing. To run 2 antenna's and gain from it, they need to be at least 8' apart, which is hard to do on a pick up sized truck. And as it was stated before, the 2 antenna's will be more for forward and backward reception, something to consider if you do a...- Goose2448

Best CB To Purchase
Now this is something I have a little knowledge on, just some, not all. I personally run a Cobra 19 ultra, it was $35 at walmart, and it fits nicely between the seat and center console in my burban, no drilling holes required. Its nice to start with, but it is limited.
