Were the donor trucks all A1's (5077) or did the A2's get into the mix as well?

Kenny, What did the kit include?.....A Dana 70......plus all the trimmings?

The thing I really like is the complete install of the dual tanks, complete with the switch on the dash. Also the Dana 70 with 4:56 gears. I am curious if the helper springs on the front axle are part of the conversion?

The sheetmetal on this truck is really straight, I think this will be my next resto project :D

Was the conversion to A3 a common thing, or a an as needed conversion of an A1 to an A3?

Mods, If this has been covered before, please delete. These are pics and observations of the 1028A3 I bought from GSA in Utah. First, I believe this truck is a Gov conversion of a 1028 (5077) into a A3. Stickers in the cab lead me to believe this was a USAF truck. Pics:

Thanks Kenny! No, the overload springs are gone but the brackets on the frame are there.... Did these, A3's, come with a sway bar? It has dual dual tanks.....add on? It also has extra springs in the front that make the negative arch springs almost flat across.

No, it's a Dana, just not sure what flavor.

Is this a Dana 60 or a 70? I've never seen a 70 and recognized it as one. It's in my new 1028A3
