"Old Tires Suck" well it wasn't the age.

Would appear so, not my punch either... on the way to work at 65MPH or thereabouts, pulled over got out to look and saw the shiny shank of that punch sticking out the sidewall... rolled forward a bit to get it higher, I thought initially in the dark it was some sort of wire like a pegboard hook...

"Old Tires Suck" well it wasn't the age.

On my way to work this morning and blew a tire...well not really blew so much as got a punch through the tread out the sidewall... Ended up driving another 10 Miles on the Run flat to get to a place to call help, tire went at about 65MPH, on a highway. wasn't going to plug it or patch it anyway...

Got a bit of a weird fuel thing to me anyway at least it SEAMS to be a fuel thing.

As stated the thing was up in the block against the eccentric, held with grease and I really do not see how you could put the pump on wrong and not know there was a problem.... I've never seen an SBC or BBC rod broken so these must be made of cast iron if they break like that. so Junk. I've...

    Brake Bleeding with Turn Plates?

MAY help to purge air from the steering lines but won't do much for brake bleeding because that doesn't require you to turn wheels...

Got a bit of a weird fuel thing to me anyway at least it SEAMS to be a fuel thing.

I mean I KNOW it is on the pump rod, I've changed a lot of identical mechanicals back in the day, never broke the rod, had one on an SBC that the idiot that owned it used the bolt method and tightened it til it bent the rod... that was fun getting out. But never had one break. the rods must suck...

    M1026 Wires 458A, B, C & D

Mine had the lamp but was not connected and the harness which the lead was laying on top of the transmission, and the switch was connected at the rear of the TC, so I connected the lamp lead and it works... More weirdness...

No possible way to miss the rod... I think the new pump is shite.

Got a bit of a weird fuel thing to me anyway at least it SEAMS to be a fuel thing.

OK, Cheap Arsed 12V inline electric pump ($22 shipped next day arrival amazon) runs like a champ better than ever since I had it. used to falter on hills, no more will do 60 over the top of a long hill that used to bog it down to 35... So $99 mechanical lift pump didn't work... at all...

" I can use my manual transfer pump and pull fuel from tank (full) to line at filter" It is a little plastic hand pump if it can pull fuel through the check valve the valve is not clogged or stuck. and if drainback is a perceived issue and people remove them, then it doesn't matter if they...

Got a bit of a weird fuel thing to me anyway at least it SEAMS to be a fuel thing.

Well, replaced the Mechanical Lift pump Old pump was very "soft" new pump was not so SOFT. BUT same thing no fuel flow through pump. I can use my manual transfer pump and pull fuel from tank (full) to line at filter but lift pump doesn't do a darned thing. I'm going to try an electric pump...

Well acquainted with fuel pumps of the type (small block chevy) unfortunate they didn't include the bolt hole to put a longer bolt in to hold the pump push rod... would be so much easier.

Got a bit of a weird fuel thing to me anyway at least it SEAMS to be a fuel thing.

Correct. Engine OFF no fuel from drain. Engine ON no fuel from drain and engine died... (was actually running just fine until opening the drain... Disconnected line out from pump no fuel present when cranking Reconected that disconnected line at filter no fuel when cranking. Reconnected that...

I opened the test/condensate drain on the fuel filter canister. Nothing came out. Started the truck it started right up no issues, and was running perfectly then just stopped. I never got anything out of that drain the entire time. Took the drain line completely off, again Nothing there...

    New Acquisition, M1097R1 Helmet Top

Yes very abandoned stone I can recall when it was still a store front, now it is just a retaining wall and there is still a small boxed in room that was the store itself, the Hiway has encroached on it, It may have been an old gas station long ago. Last stuff sold there was pottery like...
