hum, 55 gallon drums cargo strapped , best bet is a purpose built. transfer tank, they are very common here for moving fuel to remote locations for skidders and dozers, they come equipped with transfer nozzles and are built to industry standards. if this is a bug out /emergency, no real...
When you were referring to the emergency brakes valve at the handle, here is the result of a tear down inspection , All the white is exfoliated aluminum residue, ( would be rust if it were steel. ) , no saving the valve, worked it for an hour , cleaning lubing ect, quicker to change it . Likely...
Simp, I think based on observation that you put more heavy miles on a 5 ton than any one else here, What do you run in your trans, and what change interval do you use, and how many times have your ABS equipped brakes kicked it ? Just curious, I was going to change to ATF , but think it needs...
Suprman is spot on on his understanding for the addition of ABS, it is clearly stated in a number of ARMY AIR FORCE T.O.s T> D. . He nailed it almost to a tee. Iam on the fence with the trans fluid , I have historicly used ATF in tranies and Transfer cases . I have been tempted to change the...
PPV is a good suggestion from Dog Head, fixed mine . if your getting water from the drains you need to get the system " dry" and drain daily, do a air drier service, check all your valves for operation and don't be surprised to find some inop, they will be clogged with exfoliated grunge...

Ahh . so you added a goose neck coupling as well, good idea. I hadn't even thought of it yet. may seem like I don't make much progree, waithing for weather above zero, that's the problem with winter here , Dark most of the time and COLD . Would love to see what you accomplish, always good to see...
