You have a good point, M139H2otruck, but if the poster really wants a spin-on conversion, he can stop in at a Cummins Shop and they will set him up. Many older Cummins powered trucks have been converted to spin-on oil and fuel filters. JT out

I have new mufflers and flex pipes, but I am looking for the j pipe, which isn't really a j pipe at all, not like the turbo deuce j pipe. I can pay, or trade for the j pipes. John T

Hi Baxter, I have put a lot of heaters in Deuces and I agree the 2 plugs are often real tite. I bought 1/2" drive 8 point sockets (for square heads) and use a breaker bar with a long pipe on it. They always come out. I have heard of the wax trick, I will be watching to see how you make out...

If the injector pump says LDS-427, and I know the turbo is what is on my LDS-427, I think your whole engine is an LDS-427. Not the worst thing to have, more horsepower and torque that the 465 makes. just keep the rpms at 2500 or below, don't lug below 1500 rpms and enjoy. JT out

The intank pump originally called for a 2 amp slo blo fuse, the military has since changed to 4 amp slo blo. I have used 5 amp slo blo fuses but have found that if I need 5 amps, the pump is not OK and I ought to take it out and replace the motor or the whole thing. It is surely a weak link...
