Just have to find a place that understands military truck. What part of the state do you live in? I've been going to the same shop for over 20 years for all my vechicles.

I concur that truck has no business with that kind of weight. You need a 3500 dually with a cummins or a duramax as you're into the hotshot arena. Just not the truck for that workload IMHO.

What power level are you trying to achieve? I love the 12 valve and the P-pump. You can get all kinds of power and reliability with the Cummins. I hope you have already addressed the dowel of death issue for that motor. My oldest boy has a 03 3500 dually and with his 5K lb camper he still pulls...
Yep I opened it quick for the same reason. I would love to figure out and install an NV5600 in my old girl. And while at it a 24v 5.9 cummins. One can dream.

And while we are at it how about a full on no holds barred political forum to have spirited debates on national topics. That should work here right? LOLOLOLOL
Better chance of peace on earth.
A motorcycle forum might not be a bad idea especially for military motorcycles and could bleed over to motorcycles in general. I'm sure we have a lot of bike owners on the site. My old Honda VTX on my unusual one bike tilt trailer that I pulled all over the country for work projects

I've had a number of Harleys and a Honda VTX but nothing compares to my Stratoliner. Only thing I'm starting to really hate is the cleaning. With all the damn chrome and my junk knees it's a three and a half hour project to get the bike right. Lots of fun to ride though. Even has a car like...
