did you find the hidden ground strap in front of the truck and one under the fuse panel (PDP)
https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/a0-alternator-excite-wire-question-get-well-grounded.220156/#post-2579205
have thought of a boat too. ... or better said..... dreamed. If did would lean too micro Jet boat so could scream across a water crossing to affix winch lines on other side in case things go bad in the crossing orrrrr.. bank on exit side is questionable...
PS- this thread started before their was a forum in here for building MV trucks into RV's. There may be similar discussion over in that now on this topic
https://www.steelsoldiers.com/forums/rv-camper-conversion.176/
Me too. My understanding you need to ground the truck. I thought about a spring loaded (or just heavy weighted) Rebar made into a spike. Pull a lever and it stabs into ground. Before leaving you crank a handle orrr?? to pull it back up.
while hope no one is ever in bad situation needing to pull that on side of road or trail. If so though maybe a chain binder and breaker bar.. or you own winch up front orr??? could serve the same purpose
different top on pipe.. 45 down, and/or rain cap. Can also put even a 1degree? down slope on pipe running to side of truck and 90 to vertical adapted just ever so to 89degree.... then a bung on bottom you can unscrew to drain water as part of monthly maintenance...
Today will be packing up the tarps so they dont fill with rain. This project is over till next June. That's just how the weather works here. Really really really really... needed the out of the weather space under this to could finish engine swap on daily driver; replace alternator on LMTV...
Well dismal failure today.
Crane person not timely replying (Am assuming they bowed out. I just met em) ... and since am FAST running out of time good weather wise..... took some folks suggestions on what might work alternative to what was planing.. Mostly cause it is faster """if it...
Tarp according folded.
Spreader bar built
Spreader bar installed
Filled with rain water
Attempt to lift to drain
Tarp becomes an Amazon White Crocodile dragged to the wild animal Zoo
Spine pulls from Crock.... sad day but Croc. Survived
Tarp makes it next to its Zoo cage.... I mean LME Frame...
Fever Dream of blond Acrobat.; tylenol no help.... unfortunately no help for Raynaud's syndrome either.. completely loose use of my hands then feet etc.. That is Main reason for suit.. Cost savings for "Direct Personal" temperature control over " surrounding space" temperature control.. is...
have since gotten a coolant heater as well as a coolant chiller... upgraded plumbing fittings to attach them
got adapters to convert from 110 v to the chiller or heater.
Also got heated gloves and socks, and adapters from 12v to the 7.3??
Looks like will by trying out the heated version soon...
next week snow.... I may have run out of time. Built a heated coolant under suit a year ago.. guess its time to put it to work (have health issues below 50F. Stuff stops working) https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/beating-price-of-ac-upgrade-with-personal-ac-heating-system.171290/...
@swiss
other than above questions.... any hints on getting End Piece installed. Just laying on the ground that piece of material (triangle) at the top above the Garage Door material has my brain twisted like a Pretzel. Can't make heads or tails of it when End Piece is laid out flat on the...
was reviewing the TM's and just realized what you meant by this answer.
Is there enough flex in the material if Walls/Roof section (WRS)* is across the frame whole, and hanging down on both sides, and w/ Evave pins and Ridge Pin grommets all set in place? Curious if you think in that...
answering my own question... yes the fold down. When frame arches are assembled they do not fold down tight. They stick out some horizontally. They hit a stop point in direction of Peak/Ridge Beam. Stop is at Vertical. Hmmm....
As to what they do when tarp in place... guess they are not...
@swiss orr??
The pin on the Eaves that the Tarp goes on (12ft height? approx). How do those function?... pivoting wise.. Trying to picture in my head this.. seems they fold down.. but that makes no sense..... then they would not help support hanging walls... but then again maybe they are...
PS- Its also been raining... so took that time to improv (I think) the video on preping the site. Little less sucky now. Nver said knew what was doing. Let me know on youtube if it is better with the tweaks (some music, shortened intro) , if music picked helps/hurts. etc. etc.
Thankx.
