    Vietnam tribute Truck

Thank you on the list. I'll be looking for those lights. Might have some already... Check on the canvas, got a source. Will price that out the closer summer gets here. Roger on the paint color. At the expense of sounding dumb, why no yellow nose? I hadn't planned on it. What is the meaning...

    Vietnam tribute Truck

Could you tell me who the paint source was? I know there are several and all probably provide nearly the same product. Cause of my hand issue (long monotonous story) I really need to spray bomb the truck...won't be as professional as a regular spray down but would look (maybe) like a job done...

    Vietnam tribute Truck

You have hit the nail directly on the head. I now know the color, thank you. The star is going to be interesting...I've never been able to draw one in my life...I'll get these right tho. The bumper markings will require much research. Of my two cousins, both returned to the (really bad) want...

    Vietnam tribute Truck

Hi The summer MV shows are coming up. I've hooked up with a Vietnam era Vet ( he was very specific, did not want anyone thinking he was one who served over there). Both of us want to show our appreation and honor all Vietnam War Vets with a tribute truck. My M35A2 W/W is a 1970, a perfect...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Welcome to the wonderful world of the CUCV. They can be great fun and can also drive you nuts. Change everything made of rubber, check for a front drive shaft and that's just the beginning. Won't tell you about the fuel fun yet...unless you get it. Then there's a lot of help on getting those...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Ahh the sweet smell of success! Congratulations! [thumbzup] I recently completed the same project. I had no problems with the shaft...that is after I removed the plate and applied the required grease to keep the darn thing up inside the engine!. Did you do the filter mod? I had to because...

    Korean War Helicopter Pic

I can surmise a few thing about that shot, first, it was probably one of the first, if no the first helicopter he ever saw. Second, sorry, that's the only shot he got that I can find so far. and lastly, yes, there are other "period" photo's. As I posted earlier (somehwere or another) after his...

    Korean War Helicopter Pic

I went out onto the WWW to get some comparative photos to try to get some better comparitve charactoristics. Most of these were from the Smithsonian and two are credited in the picture name. I appears tha Bell 47 B (MASH version) is what's in the picture 1. Bell 47 B, first production version...

    Korean War Helicopter Pic

Found this picture going thru Dads war photos. Can't say exactly what it is but it looks to be a Bell 47 (MASH fame). Only thing written on it is "53". That's the year he was in Japan with the 24 on occupation duty. Anyone got any other ideas?

Addendum to site rules - reporting posts

No zombie threads...darn. They're just plain fun. I hearby volunteer to ba a Moderator in the Aircraft section, if it needs one. Lean mean green ground machines are my third love in life. First being the family, second anything in the air that's green (green in intent counts too!) then the...

    ste ice

I have two of them, one 100% complete plus the TM and passes all self tests. the second is missing the usual small parts but the Control Box works just as well as the other. My goal is to replace all the missing pieces and have two complete kits. Haven't used them yet since I got them except...

Maryland MV owners are in trouble

OK, call me stupid, I accept the title freely. This "looks" like the similar "Pioneer" tags and rules and regs for here in Wyoming. Given the use for the typical MV (using mine as my examples), I am not seeing the problem. But again, I am not fully in the know of all things with Maryland...

    It Is Alive!!!

So true. but they do have a similar box fuel filter if I'm not mistaken. I ordered what i thought was a GM filter manifold for a GM and got a GM manifold for a Dodge. Confusing? You bet and know I have a slightly used filter manifold I don't need. Slightly used cause i put it all the way on...

    It Is Alive!!!

Thanks. I went out this morning and plugged in the block heater. Let it cook for a couple hours and it strarted up no problem... it's earned a new name...not sure yet what to call it. I'll wait till all the other broke parts are fixed. Then? who knows.

    It Is Alive!!!

This one one of an ongoing chain of postings about my M 1009 justifiably named "TOAD" (sits on her pad all day and doesn't do squat). SInce i don't know where they all are, I get to make this one FINALLY POSITIVE[thumbzup]!! The Problem: I have not been able to make my fuel system work. I've...
