He hasn't given tham all away, yet. I promise to keep the non-public ones secret (if there are any). I have the gear lug wrench, have three different types in fact. Ones an odd ball no matter what you call it. The wrench is great, the problem is I ani't got enough backside to turn the durn lugs...
Now I'm depressed. No money and no way to get it to Wyoming..sometimes you get the bull and sometimes you get the horn...Darn, just got horned.:-D
Thank you very much for the info. [thumbzup] I can only hope a similar deal shows up near here ; when I have money of course.
Sounds like my prefilter that came with the junk yard set up needs installation. I'll figure out the plumbing and get a new filter. Going to look like Frankenstein rigging but thats the fun of owning a CUCV!:driver:
Beautiful truck! Mine will look as good when I'm done. You set a standard i have to match. Where do you get your parts such as brakes and engine gaskets?
This is one of those times that all I can say is I don't know but can surmise some things, which just means I might have a clue. I would strongly suspect, especially since it's a 54 that it ended up in either Japan for Occupation duties or it was sent to Korea and as part of the rotation of...
Thank you very much for the pictures, definitely going to help my project. My truck has the tool box, it's full of junk including 30-06 ammo. I've got something to compare with, Thanks!
As soon as I can get the time, There's some parts trucks up north. I'll keep my eyes open for a dash. Not sure when we'll be able to make the run, might be early spring when the darn weather calms down arond here...really need one of those emoticons that has crossed fingers
Picture would be great! I was given a site that has the manuals for free use but haven't had time to download all of them yet. Appreciate the help![thumbzup]
Winds are 50+ today. Since the truck is out in the wind, not safe for man nor beast to work on it. Got other trucks to work on, so for now the 211 is on hold.
OK, found it. The first link didn't work, not sure why:confused:. Went to the companies main site and had it located in about 10 sec. and in my cart right afterwords.
That bright white bed is going to go. I'm going to see if semi-gloss green house paint (proper color of course) will stick. If it does, It'll hide the bed untill i can get down to Palamino (shop in Cheyenne that does bed liner stipping) and get it cleaned up right.
Brakes got postponed...
Almost forgot. Got all the junk wood and crap out of the back. It's all cleaned up except for taking a pressure washer to the back end of the truck to get as much mud off before going in the shop. Tried to get the air tank valve to open, wouldn't budge. By that time, too tired, cold and sore...
Looks good, but gotta ask, do gas stations sell bad diesel? Water in the fuel, sand, grit or what ever can creep into the stations tanks? I picked up a replacement to the box filter but don't have a pre filter. My 2003 Duramax doesn't have one either and haven't had any fuel problems except...

For some reason, the bed of the truck is painted white..gloss white. looks like a coat of non skid/sealer to protect the bed. But white? That's not going to be fun to fix.. Sand blast is an option so is painting it over... It'll have to wait for the brakes. Winds are bad today but it's...

Today, plan to replace right rear wheel. This morning I pulled the rails that had been installed. Wasn't hard, between the wood rot and less than perfect construction, they came right out. Books are coming out too. Since I don't have the hood supports, I'm just going to pull it so I can...
Just went thru their website, not sure which one yougot. The link you posted keeps sending me to an industrial products site...not sure that's what you intended. None of the ones on the page are generic, each one is specific for a modle car or truck. Can you narrow down which one it is...
