Man you have some adventurous cajones!!!! Sounds like a great road trip!
My bit of advice for you- I travel across country alot and I have found that I can cover more ground if I dont try to drive too long in one day. Drive 12-14 hours and then get a nites sleep. Repeat.
Driving too long...
Haha! I have to make sure I keep my priorities straight! Camp Dirtbag is only once a year... you can get married anytime!LOL
Last one was actually in Stoddard Valley---- in the triangle between Apple Valley/Lucerne Valley/Barstow.
I was wondering why I was getting so many calls before I learned of the mention (pretty good one, too!) in the magazine.! The problem is I am (almost) out of the tires that were mentioned. I had about 200 325/85-r16 XMLs that I sold really cheap, but now I cant find anymore:-x That is the...
Looks Good! That was a pretty nice Blazer even before you painted it!
I woulda suggested you buy the spray can handle BEFORE you did it!!! Much easier on the fingers!
Well, even if we dont do Camp Dirtbag on that weekend--- anyone who wants to come out and camp with us and watch the race and do some wheelin' is more than welcome to come out!!! Fo Sho!:-D
I am trying to figure out the logistics of getting more Deuces out there!
An added thought---- I am going to MV camp at JV the 25th-27 and all are invited.....
But what if I left my junk out there the whole weekend till sunday March 1st and we did the Camp Dirtbag Spring Camp out???
Just a thought------ sound like a plan to anyone???
Ha- sorry 'bout that! If anyone wants to see what I have going on- I spend about 90% of my forum time at JKOwners.com.
I vote for JV, but it may be a problem slinging lead there. If we just had a few trucks we could probably find a spot to shoot with no problems. But 10 or 15 Deuce and...
True, true.
Its funny how many people 'scoffed" at the price I wanted to pay. I ended up having 3 or 4 trucks that would do it for $1000. It all depends on the situation. This guy was going to Amarillo almost empty- so it made sense for him to haul the BOB and make an easy extra $1000.
Is this the tire you are referring to?
Lots of my customers have put this tire on their trucks.
Its a Michelin XML 325/85-r16
On a 10" wide wheel they measure 37-37.5" (depending on how much tread) tall, and 13" overall wide. Most 38s do not measure 38". And 14.50 wide usually ends up...
Oh- I forgot to post up that I did find a truck for this job. Ended up being a "Hotshot" style truck. He has a 32' trailer and was hauling some transmissions back and had room for the deuce.
Thanks everybody!
Well I found someone to deliver for the price and got it all set up, now just working on finalizing the deal!
Thought I had lost my customer- but he's back in! Working on it!
