    RFID Keyless Ignition

More testing reviles that the starter will crank that way I have it wired, but will not start. I interrupted the run circuit but not the start circuit. I put the relay in line with wire 29A. This will prevent the truck from staring and running but it will allow the engine/starter to crank. I...

    RFID Keyless Ignition

Well, I done installed the unit. It was not too hard and seems to work. I still want to test the amperage through the relay but I am sure it's fine. I also need to tidy up the wiring to make it look stock. I wanted to install the relay without drilling any holes. I wanted to be able to get the...

    RFID Keyless Ignition

I went a little different way and now going to use a different remote control with a relay. I have been bench testing and it looks good. Next I need to install it on the truck. Should be easyish (fitting myself under the dash will be the only hard thing. Every try to adjust the brake light...

    RFID Keyless Ignition

It's a work in progress and I am testing it, but use that to control a relay. I don't trust any cheap Chinese thing to carry a load. I am looking for something like this relay here https://temcoindustrial.com/24v-40a-4-pin-bosch-style-automotive-relay-spst/ If you have an LMTV you should have a...

Questions I have, can you help

Sorry about the curiosity but it has a hold of me. I have been wondering a few things about the Auctions and one thing on the HMMWV. First question I have is why are a good number of auction trucks seem to have had the belt(s) cut or removed? I was guessing this this was an anti theft thing but...

    Something rattling in my head

As how hard are these engine to work on? Guess that would depend your you and how well you use tools. I do not find them hard. However if yours has one of the dang 400 amp alternators... that would make a nun cuss like a sailor.

    Something rattling in my head

This maybe the "normal" 6.5 sound. When they run I think I hear a pinging or knocking or clunking noise. If you know anyone in you AO with a 6.5 in your area would listen to it and compare. I have also found that these engines seem to have their own personalty to say. One will be a dog, one...

Lower insde A pillar cover things

My truck was one of the de-armored trucks. The lower inside A pillar don't have a cover like on the un-armored trucks. Is there a part number for these? I looked in the TM and didn't see them. Or is there someone scrapping out a body where I could get them? Picture below is the right (pass) side.

    Looking to Purchase an LMTV

I had lockers in my M1008 CUCV pickup and that was just as bad as the LMTV. Need some weight in the back. Also the snow here in Washington is slick as snot on the wet side. Add some hills and you ain't going anywhere.

Military to Civilian Engine Swap Questions

Injector lines are not the same between the 2 engines. If you force the 6.2 on a 6.5 they will break after awhile.
