Is this a "normal" paint scheme?

OK, you all know I am a desert paint wierdo. But, I came across one on one of the GL sales. Never seen one quite like it. I kinda like it! Anyone seen one like it b-4?

    What is /was it?

This is at the antique store in Kramer Jct. It looks like a Ford GTB, but the tracks throw me off. I could see no welds on the frame, like there were additions or extentions, but there were cuts to brackets that look like there was a bed or something on it. Is it a production MV, an "X" vehicle...

    repairing an alternator

Last weekend, I had a front bearing in the alternator start making an ugly, intermittant squeal. I searched, but no luck on rebuilding the alternator. Does anyone offer a kit with bearings and stuff? Haven't looked in the TMs yet to see if there's a section on it. Guess I should do that, huh?

    105 cover tie down help

Tried a search...nuttin'. Looked in the manual in the TM section, has a pic of the knots for the cover from far away! I tried tying them like the deuce, but they come loose. Anyone got a close up pic and maybe a helpful walkthru on securing the cover to the hooks?

    M105 landing gear part

I swapped the crank up gear off of the GL trailer to the free one yesterday. I had already installed the armstrong gear and come back home and realized that the thrust wasn't on the crank up one. Does anyone have a thrust washer they wanna sell?

OOPS! Part fell off! Now I need a new one.

E-brake worked fine when I left, went 5 miles, go to set it...nuthin! Chocked it up, rolled under it and found the nut on the cable had dissappeared! How did that happen so fast? Anyone got an extra one or know where I can get one? I looked at Saturns site, but didn't see one. It's the funky...

    M105A2 Wheel Seals

Pulled the hub and wheel cylinders off yesterday, YUK, they were full of goo, but cleaned up nicely. The seal was pused out of the hub and looks like it was that way for a while but looks like it doesn't fit the hub too well. Might just be from being out of the hub and crooked. The seal is a...

    Data Plates

Any one know where they can be found? Saturn is out and Rod Shaver is out. Mine are just faded so bad that you can't read them. TIA.

    Locking hubs.

I'm not a jeep guy, just thought this was cool, but odd. The guy who owns this jeep bought it from a man who got it from the military back in '56 or around there. It is a factory Willys rebuild...has the Willys tags on the frame. It has Sears locking hubs! Just thought it was different, thought...

    spares?

I got an xtra set of sides to put on the trailer that doesn't have them, but 1 side is missing the top board with the bow holders on it. Anyone got a ruined side that has the holders on it that they want to sell?

    Todays M105 Recovery

Went out to recover the "unknown" M105 from Barstow. Got there at 7:30, let me right in. Gave them the paperwork, and picked it up! No issues. Had a few surprises in the back. A couple of chocks, a big chain and a tan vinyl cover! Put the lights on, checked tires, lugs, put the 2 front/backs in...

Took the left side apart tonite after work, All looked good, bearings, wheel cylinders, springs and all the little hardware. Cleaned, packed the bearings, installed the new shoes, new seal. Backed the adjusters all the way off, top and bottom ones, but the drum was very tight going on. Could...

    Brakes and Boots.

Well, after a little bit of sleep, I decided I should get to work on the front brakes and knuckle boots. Got it jacked up and torn down pretty fast, started cleaning things, well, found the reason for the notchy feeling rt front wheel and found out what the noise was. That put a stop to things...

    Is this good?

OK, first, NO PICS....my bad aua , had a camera, but was too....focused to take pics. A sweet M151A2, hard top, a tad dented, UNCUT, pretty straight, glass is good. Has civy tires and runs. Is 5K a good price? Hasn't been registered, but has all the papers. I noticed no tailgate. Is...

Does this look like it will work?

Forgot to start taking pics as I started. What can I say, I get on a roll and don't usually stop 'till i'm done. Started with a 1/2 x 5 x 20 piece of flat stock and 2, 1/4 x 1 1/2 x 20 pieces of angle, and a solid hitch that I got at a yard sale for $2.00. Think it will be OK for a 90 mile...

    1st biofuel caused failure

Hey guys. I've been working on commercial HD diesels for a while. Have seen a trend over the last 2 years or so of some municipalities, private individuals and local fleets starting to switch to bio or blend it. Cummins has recently approved the use...on an official stance...before, they neither...

    Another deuce brake problem!

My brake lights stopped working today. The switch is still at the end of the air pak. I am having CRS real bad today, I know....no, think.... there is a MWO to move the switch, but I can't find it. Again, TMI for this stuff, i'm starting to get it confused with work! Anyone know where it might...
