Plasa will sell you a complete Arduino setup ready to install and you can reprogram all pressures.
I bought one from him, but have not messed with it yet.

If you can find a truck with a winch, it would probably be cheaper than buying them separately.
In my case, my situation unfolded a different way, so I did the transfer.
It is doable, but you need two people.
You need different wrenches than a super basic kit would have.
You need to...
Yeah, we did the PTO install with the ones that came with the winches we took from another truck. It is doable on the truck, just need extra hands and some problem solving skills..... it was a pain to get in there.

So the video shows him starting in gear, then turning on the PTO, which bypasses the interlock.
Do you have an A1? That is the main question.

Can someone just start up their truck, put it in drive somewhere with space, then bump the PTO to see what happens?
My guess is nothing since the engine needs to rev up automatically. In the video, he was using the throttle peddle to rev up on the A0.

So, the A1 PDP harness has a different connector than the A0 where it connects to the rear harness that feeds the winch PTO, transmission cooler fan, and winch solenoids. The pin connections appear to be the same, just different pin counts and connector shape.
The thought was to Frankenstein...
I saw this video of an A0 winch truck and the owner showed how he can run the winch while in gear, powering the wheels.
Does anyone know if this works on an A1?
Can someone try it?
This is the video:
Need to know soon, as I am in process on an A0 to A1 winch transplant and need to know...
Please do a posting on how you do the drivers side swap.
My drivers side bushing is missing. I am waiting on Awesomeness to make new ones before I tackle that one. My passenger side has one that I stuck in there from a parts truck, but it looks burnt up and splitting. Gonna have to do that...
Had to use a 40” 3/4 breaker bar to do that once. It helped to remove the bumper and had the wing that holds the headlight off. That was on my winch swap, so taking all that off was part of the gig.

My truck is a Hawaii truck. It was mostly rust free, except the skid plate, tool box, and inside toolbox was rusted out on the bottom.
Frame and cab were great..... bed had a few rust spots, but not bad.

That is good info. fuzzytoaster and I were discussing this earlier today.
Do you know where the connector is relative to the truck?
I have redlined the winch schematic PDF’s for both A0 and A1 but they are too big to upload due to forum limits. If someone is able to upload them with the...
All, I am mostly done on an A0 winch transplant into an A1. Both 1083. A year 1997 to a 1999.
Opened up the top of heater unit and can’t see the accessory harness anywhere. Are they hidden deep in there under the feet heater hose, or are they only installed on some trucks.
Thanks
