I have been tooling around bro....you just seemed to have missed or not been copied on the memo.
Suppose this weekend you want one of those videos. I am glad i work under pressure so well.
Pb its the same way i did that ambulance fuel tank.
ITS NOT MY IDEA (don't know why tho but i like it).
There will be a gallon Crown Royal bottle adhered to the bottom of the tank and a tap ran to the outside .. Also a re-fill usage there.
In case you run into freezing weather for survival ...
Great catch Steelpip....sharp eye there.
There is not a date stamp..already looked.
Real mass produced lead seams and they could care less how they looked as well....just get er done and don't leak.
There is just something about saving the oem stuff that urks me when i can't....just another...
I was thinking of the bladder thingy......but i need it more than that tank does -- especially when I knows its gotta hold at least 10 gallons sometimes. So it stays with me. Tank will get other forms of torture inflicted to it.
You can see the remnnents of them where they use to be - they are in that rubble at the bottom - they were previously leaded in. There would have been two of them. But at this point it does not really matter if one is installed or not as it might never be FULL on fuel to splash and shifting of...
Radiator was re-cored with a new copper high flow almost 2 inch thicker than oem one.
We need to change the plastic fuel jug to a larger Crown Royal bottle to test drive tho.
I don't mean working on the projects here poo poo - I meant at other places I had to work like Freightliner - Freuhauf etc etc etc etc.
At least with CAMO I get tossed a beer once in a while and awesome bbq's.
Got the marker socket guts repaired this morning so all frontal lighting is operatble...
Goes to show that from all the shops I have worked in over my years and all the various styles an d techniques the ole fellas i watched and learned from I kinda paid attention and bought all my trades needed invested in tools.
Only thing working with ole times is over those years-they all chain...
Well I had to wire in the tail lights and rear upper marker lights so when I opened the back end WA LA - this baby was staring me right in the face - I then knew I just had to have some fun with PB with it - dang that thing is heavy even with my fat head.
Here are some more lighting pic's...
RickF - when I am done with this nit picky stuff I will yank the tank out of the back and get started on it - if it rains this weekend like its being talked about it might come out a whole lot sooner. I have a good feeling I can save that tank for how PB will be using it to last for quite some...
With a good solid short run on the engine which has been the longest - it will still require some adjustments to the carb - linkages and especially when the floor plate for the throttle plate gets installed - then more adjustments.
Still want some more walk around's with it at idle to go...
PB......there is a weight limit on the K??
But i am sure there more room for display items in the back.
Looks like this weekend Flordia folks are in for some fun that will be heading up if they are half right so we'll just see what takes place and what we can get done.
For myself we're back...
You'll be looking for references to the scr-197 or mention of mobile radio truck.
Page 11 and 20.
When Pearl was taking place and the attack on CLARK there were at the same time volunteers headed to Wake...they got more $ was the reason and had no clue where Wake Island...
Mike...i was laid over in Pocatello ID at a pilot for the weekend with an oversize load.
I was chatting to fellas in Flint Mich and Napoleon Oh from there with my kicker on.
They could not believe i was mobile and not ground.
Sure pissed off the folks at the counter in the Pilot truck stop...
