Good to hear that the MD gang will be nearby again. I've been going over my lists of things to do before I head out and, thankfully, the list is getting shorter and shorter.
Better news is that BMann will be with me again this year (it's been touch and go for him the last couple of months) so...
There is a display area where all you have to do is show up and park (you might also want to inform the folks at the registration desk/tent).
If you sell stuff you need to get a vendor space (or borrow some space from somebody like myself who has room).
I'll post some photos when I get the taxes done... :)
I had a great time and truly appreciate that help with the MKT. Nothing beats having some folks volunteer for KP duty and to help pack the unit up when all is done.
I've found that it takes about five years for an event to show a profit, or...
Just leaving the office (hard to leave on time when the boss' boss' boss is the one asking you questions...).
Still have to go home and get the MKT and head toward Denton...
Supper will be really late... :(
I think that the MKT location last year worked well.
If any of you get there before I do (verly likely) and want to stake out that area I would appreciate it.
My Thursday ETA is 1900.
Supper will be shortly after I arrive.
I have a meeting to attend at work before I can hit the road.
Thanks.
Miller products:
My buddy who works at the plant is loading my truck in the morning.
I can't take any more orders since he has already made his run.
I have items for Microjeep, Willfreeman, MichiganDon, and myself.
Food update:
I have the following down for food:
CBRMetalworks: Two Adults for Friday Supper through Sunday Lunch
MichiganDon: Two Adults for Thursday Supper through Sunday Lunch (with a special order for Thursday night entree... :) )
Willfreeman: Two Adults for Thursday Supper thought Sunday...
I just noticed this thread...
We are having the Convoy again this year.
The web page has been updated...but other than the date change everything is bassically the same as in year's past...
The T-shirt design has been finalized (featuring "Connie" again...) and will be added to the website...
I have my spaces again this year and will be cooking Eastern Style NC BBQ for the folks in the ECC and for my buddies on Friday night... No pretty ladies at my location unless Tew comes to dinner with his entourage... :)
I'll have a few parts to sell. The coffee and cold water with heaps of...
The beer order has been placed... :)
I'll make the run to the commissary next week before I head down the road to Denton, so you still have time to get your name on the list for the FOOD plan...
Howdy!
I'm currently living in Raleigh, NC, but was born and raised in Va and go back often.
We have a rally/trailrides on Labor Day Weekend at my folk's farm...consider yourself invited.
Website for last year's event is still up and will be updated to reflect this year's information soon, but...
Hmmm,
Plastic five gallon water cans ($20/each)
Canbro tea/coffee dispensers (great for keeping 12oz cans on ice as well...) $30/each
Gillespie paint (PM me for colors/prices...not going to bring any unless requested).
Five ton dump truck troop seat/top kit (NOS, removed from shipping crate...
Food at the MKT
I can tweak the menu if folks have food allergies or other dietary restrictions—just send me a PM or post here...
I'm planning on arriving Thursday afternoon in time for supper, and can stay through Sunday lunch.
Let me know when you are arriving and leaving so that I can...
Steve and Laura (who run the jeep club that helps me with trail maintenance at my Godparent's farm where we have the VA Rally during the Labor Day Weekend) will be camping with their group over at the Arrowhead Campground (they like to be closer to the trails) this weekend.
Since they own a...
Since I will be pulling the MKT, I won't have a trail vehicle with me, but the local trails are perfect for a M37 (I have run them a lot in mine) or similar sized vehicle. A buddy of mine has run a bobbed deuce on the trails, but another buddy with a regular M35 had issues making turns on some...
I will be there with the MKT again this year.
I will post up a menu when we get a little closer to the event...but it will basically be the same plan as last year.
I'll be arriving on Thursday night and will be there through Sunday lunch, so the meals will run from Thursday night through Sunday...
