Interesting phenominom. Been nothing but storm after storm here... or just Farmer happy rain so all can do is charge batteries with the 110v charges for few hours then go to work... Wash rinse repeat.
Well last couple days it would jump to 28v charge randomly.... I've not found a pattern...
catch 22 is this IMHO would get blocked by mud pretty quick . IMHO.... run all vents up to a air cleaner like box (6" PVC tube?) in the spare tire area.
interesting that this helps. The military one blocks air much lower . Which makes since ... think 1/2 to 3/4 of the radiator sits below the grill . hmmm. then again I see now yours appears to tuck down below the grill a bit. How far down does it go?
ifffff.... your going to coat..... yuo need something that sticks extremely well..... and ABSOLUTELY prevents air AND water from getting behind it. Hence why most these days use quality bed liner-ish Poly? stuff (rubber bits embedded or not) stuff. And you want to coat it in a large enough...
priority is getting my daily driver going. only making 11 dollars a day by time pay fuel. Oh well.. that is the cost of having principles. Will figure something ou.
Going by your avatar image... guessing you have an A0 truck with 3116. So it has cab ride air bags. My guess if it is not actually up front at glad hands etc.. is the air lines too the cab air bags..... fittings in that area.... or the air bag itself. Also could be the valve that...

Banks after charging and sat to reach Rest State:
-Rear bank using smart charger says they are 80% charged.
>>> But voltage meter AND chart above says they are 100% charged (12.8v)
>>> Older Dumbish charger says bank is full...
Looks like with depth of four batts.... you can easily do 30 miles. Stays at 24v on dash voltmeter.
not sure why yet but Tues. on its typical 30 mile round trip of late I saw 24v. NOT 28v like usual.... G!@#$% gut punch. No alternator charging
Anyway...... to work and back home is approx...
Olly get that thing going, put a tow boom on back.. practice towing things off road a lot.... work to get invited to next years off road Wrecker Games!!!!! Be great competition with the MORR truck
that is also where the LBCD sits.... but if you have 100amp alt on an early A1 with none of the disconnect switches/solenoids.... it will be Polarity Protection Device anyway.
thanks for not keeping this on Tapatalk and instead creating a full S.Soildiers post. If had left it there would have eventually disapeared and the next poor sole doing this would not have this valuable information, esp. pics to wonder thru.
no the 6x6 is full time on these trucks. On some trucks; but not the FMTV's, the rear axle only works when activated. FMTV and most newer 6x6 not like that. There is a 3rd differential in the power divider. It sits sideways between the axle pair to modulate power back and forth between middle...
