I like these have have never had an issue.. I do not like to solder splice wires as I have seen many many splices crack and you will have an issue. These butt connectors also also waterproof.
I have repaired many many aircraft flight control test cables and the only repairs I see fail have been...
The driveline shop installed straps on the one u joint they installed. I wanted to new bolts of the other joint. Thought straps where a thing. What torque do you install and do you use blue or red loctite?
Well I need some new U-joint bolts... and I am having a heck of a time finding them. Now the military uses a break away type and I have only found some on the e auction place and the seller wants like 14 bucks each.... I aint doing that. I am looking for the Spicer 5-73-109 that is used with...
I was installing the drive shaft. I wasn't too sure how tight to make the bolts and I stripped one. I sure hope it was the bolt and not the yoke. Man I am not a happy camper. I know why they military went to the bolts with the head that breaks off. I wish I could find those.
Well there is more than one way to do things but this is how I did it... The TM says that these are to be torqued to 359 to 446 Ft Lb... No wonder I had a problem... Will finish it up later this week... i hope
Going to call my truck the socket buster... and these fasteners are NOT rusted. I don't know if this is factory apes or military gorillas who tighten these fasteners... Fine thread to boot. I think its time to invest in a rattle gun... never needed one before... Just don't know if I want to go...
I need to find someway to loosen the upper sway bar bushing bolt. Man oh man I gave it all I had and it will not budge... I tried a cheater bar and no luck. Besides a bigger hammer any ideas how to bust these loose?
I for got to say that the buzzers are 2 tone. One is a continuous beep and the other is intermittent . I swapped the wires to make it beep intermittently. So now the troop seat alert is the continues tone .
I upgraded the boarding handles on my truck. So now I need to cut a natch for them on my kick panel. Can someone measure top down the opening. I don't want to hack mine up too much.
Thanks
Well I did have a glitch... the lady used the certificate number as the vin... had to go back and work that out. It was just an error on their part and I didn't look at the paperwork until I got home. But still not as bad as I had read. No inspections or anything like that.
I registered it as a Pickup Truck... In Washington we only get one year. It was like $378.00 with title and transfer fees. The Weight fees killed me. They used the wieght on the sf-97 times it by 1.5 and then rounded up to 28,000 pounds. I can try and get a lighter scale weight later.
