If anything is nose heavy it is the m819 and it uses the same 5t front springs as the rest of the 5ts, I believe that you are going to have a rough rid because of the fulcrum effect of the cab being in front of the wheels, any bump will be magnified by this so any dampening will help.
WRONG, you do NOT need to split the hub from the drum, the studs are inside the drum mounting ring, pull \the hub/drum, set on drum, drive out studs (use a center drift) if you want to reuse the stud, just a bfh if your dumping the studs, when you install the new studs flip the hub over, place...
Look at the rear chunk, then front chunk, then transfer case, you have a bearing OUT, when under load the bearing is tight, no load will loosen up the bearing and give you noise, you need to find the problem because things will get worse quickly.

Should be the standard fuel cap that is used on the deuce, 39/809 series, m37, m38,ect,, just find some one parting out a truck and get the cap from them
In vn we had m51s with side boards clean up to the headboard, we would load these trucks till material fell off the side boards, tailgate, and even the headboard, never saw a broken spring or frame.
