Congrats Jack, you got a great truck there. Looked great when you rode by my produce stand on the way home. Now have fun with it. Does the Wife still think its ugly?????:D
I made a post earlier that has disapeared so I will redo it. Strycnine joined yesterday, wanted to own a Duece, e-mailed me because we live about 15 miles from each other, and today bought a nice truck from my friend Bob130. Now does that get it done or what????
Jack is a great guy, he got...
He is close to me in Claxton. You members above the knat line better look out because us knat swatters on the East side are on the rise.
Jack let me welcome you aboard here in public also. It is good to have more members close by. There is another member in Claxton. He is located behind...
It probably is engine oil and the air compresser probably needs to be replaced. Have not had that problem with an MV but did with a mack. All the air valves leaked oil until I changed the compresser. Bleed the air tanks and see if they have oil in them, if so compresser is bad.
This sounds like great fun Richard, wish I could be there. Why don't you cook up some of that farm raised possum that you served us at the Ga. Rally??? That was tasty stuff.:D
Isn't that a rockwell clutch?? I think my old Link-belt had one like that. A lot of power units used them also. A clutch rebuilder should be able to fix it. When I bought the link-belt the clutch was bad and I had it repaired before I could move the machine.
If ten miles is all you have to go put a driver in it if the brakes work and go slow. You also can put it in gear and hold the clutch in then let the clutch out to stop. But this only applies on roads that are not busy. I once towed my C60 Chevy 12 miles home when the engine blew and it had a...
Welcome aboard from Ga. It appears you are only slighty infected so my advice is RUN BOY, RUN. If you ever sit in one let alone drive one you are doomed for life. They can be bought very resonably if you are patient. I have a nice Duece I got from Gl for $1400.00. I have 3 fixer uppers I...
Not a good idea. Once that 13000 pounds is rolling it does not want to stop. It will push you around like you arn't even there. Also a duece does not steer well on anything but pavement. The front wheels will turn the opposite way on turns and bring you to a stop.
Could be someones idea of a joke or mystery for the next person to change the filters. I know a man that bought a new car in the late 60's. It had a tinkling noise like a small bell when he drove it. He carried it back to the dealer several times and they coukld no locate the source. He...
I would have loved to make the Fl. Rally. We had a blast at the first one. But the Wife booked a cruise for the same time,
so what does a guy do?????? Turns out the cruise was the weekend before, but no tickets for the Rally and I really did
not need to
leave the Farm so much in a row...
