Thanks kenny, I really need to get back at it. I have SOOO much information. Thats what I had done with just a couple of days. At some point I would like to do a article for the MV magazine.
Yep, the yellow nose was on all 8th Trans GP. The 8th operated in the Highlands. In mid 68, an order came down from 8th Gp Command, I believe it was Col. Joe Bellino who ordered all his trucks have there noses painted yellow. They were having a hard time keeping an eye on their drivers...
Course I dont mind. Tho your not the only one that has shown her off on SS. BTW, in the spring, I will be adding the "Yellow Nose" and some more "added" features that are not "stock" to the truck.
I am about 3 hrs from there according to yahoo maps....................looking for something in my area.............looks like Tired Iron is no longer. Their web site has not been updated in ages.
AMGENERAL or anyone in Hickory. I am looking for some help. I want to bid on a M127 trailer...
Hey you NC boys. Is there anyone willing to help me out. There is a "apparently Sweet" looking M127 trailer on GL. Its in Hickory. I would like to bid on it. Anyone over there that could help me out with moving and storage until I get my M52A2 down to TN when the snow melts????
Or maybe not...........................I seem to remember that she was sold off and was somewhere in the mid-west again. For a while I had e mails going with 658's crewchief durring the war. There is a really good book that he wrote about it. I have a signed copy.
