    Confused!?!?

    I'm sure they just bypassed the fuel density compensator. Its a multifuel and you can still burn whatever you so desire. Sure someone more seasoned will chime in with some serial # info.

    70 miles is nothing, check it over top to bottom and head for home. They really are pretty easy to drive, Just like a really big pick up truck.

    wad of questions bout deuces and what i want or need

    well, i'll toss in what i can... Already has a straight pipe :-) Not hard to add a winch, i hear its just a matter of bolting on the needed parts. You don't NEED lockouts but you could add them if you like. It looks like someone has already swapped in each of the engines you mention so it can be...

    Pucker factor of 10 ++++

    According to a talk i had with maccus last night you are indeed right. Grade 8 bolts and the all metal locknuts also in grade 8. He was saying that while lots of places have the grade 8 bolts they most often only carry softer nuts. Make sure you get the grade 8 nuts or they can crap out and come...

    I shall attempt to snap a pic as soon as possible to go with the super info from DH. One thing i thought i might mention though. With both the tranny and transfer in neutral the shaft spins freely. It can be tough to get good torque on them due to thier location. I put the shaft where it needed...

    AVM vs Ouverson: take a closer look!

    I think that Offroadfabworks was referring to the fact that he sells AVM hubs for other applications, not nessecarily duece related.

    i suspect it would, at least keep the bolts from departing the assembly. Think it would hold for a while if the bolts were still through both plates

    "there should be NO dry moving parts on a tactical truck" NOT an issue, leaks enough oil to keep pretty much everything well lubed :lol:

    Pucker factor of 10 ++++

    we must be thinking of dirrerent bolts.......they have to be waaaaaay bigger than 1/4 -20, the nuts are 3/4 and the 1-3/4 length sounds about right

    The truck isn't registered yet so it isn't going anywhere. I fully intend to get new locknuts, had to tighten the old ones to get it back to its parking space. You wouldn't happen to know the bolt size off the top of your head????

    Well guys, i have another thing you ought to add to your pretrip checklist. Apparenly some one upstairs likes me. Was crawling around under the new deuce today, attempting to fix the very audible air leak from the fitting into the airpack. If it were not for that leak i can't say i would have...
