I can only give you an opinion which is on diesels in general. Most over the road trucks get several hundred thousand miles before needing to be overhauled. I expect at least 6000 hours out of my farm tractors and that would be 300000 miles at 50 miles per hour. If they are maintained and not...
Check the batteries indivdally with a load tester. that will tell you if you have a bad battery. A battery can read 12 volts with a volt meter and fail a load test. A bad battery could also take a charge and work today but be to weak tommorow to start the truck.
There were several different methods used to demil them in an attempt to keep them from being driveable again. When all that failed you could take the parts but not the body tub. I found 12 at Fort Stewart three years ago and the told me they were going to drive a tank over them and sell as scrap.
This is how it looks now. When I got it it did not have seats, gas tank, the transmission was in pieces in a bucket and it did not run. It was rusted bad underneath. I picked it up by the front bumper and spent a couple days welding flat bar to the rusted out channels. I would like to clean...

That seems to be the only place to get one worked on. I bought one on ebay from greengem in Oakpark Fl that worked. I just bought another one from him at the Fl rally for a spare, don't know if it works yet. If you are not concerned about orginality. My local repair shop said he could build...
RE: Need y
Fix the air leaks and I think that will fix your problem. I think when the engine trys to idle the leaks are disrupting the fuel supply. When the engine starts to die the governor speeds it up to the point it can overcome the leaks. When you pull the shut off cable to kill the...
I can speak from experience and say that an event such as the one Mike just put on takes a trmendous amout of time and energy and when its over it takes days to recover. I am sure he is trying to catch up and after meeting him at the rally i can assure you you will receive to part or a refund...
