I believe that valve is a regulator. Turn off the cab leveling and see what happens when you get in the truck. Lower right knob on the control box over the fuel tank.
You need to fix your air system issues before worry about the ctis. Unplug the controller for now. Start the truck watch the air gages they should both slowly (1-2 minutes) come up to 120 psi and then the air dryer should purge. Air pressure should not go down with the truck just sitting.
Not really. If there was a big enough air leak that the tanks didn't get enough pressure to activate the ctis. Do all 5 flash when you start the truck or after a few minutes. The system will time out waiting to see 120psi in the air tanks.
I usually order them from Eriks surplus and crimp them on. I have short 4 wire extensions that have male one end and female on the other you can cut and crimp them to the headlights wire.
In "mode" the trans locks the transfer case center differential forcing both driveshafts to turn at the same speed. And I believe at the same time on the 6x6 it locks the middle axle power divider output to the rear axle the same way.

I would change the fuel filters. On the inj pump front is a fuel shutoff of sort I have seen an 004 turned down and it bigger under load with the knob improperly set.
Yes. All the mil mechs I have spoken with have not seen a fan clutch failure they are surprised when I tell them it seem to happen pretty often. They have all seen the driveline failures though.
Maybe stuck check valves. You can unscrew one of the air tank drain valves and an a standard air fitting should screw in. Done it before to fill a stubborn truck.
You can unplug the controller and manually inflate the tires they will hold pressure. If the controller is stuck in a mode lower than highway pressure then the overspeed alert will come on at a lower speed corresponding to the tire pressure mode. I have not heard of a controller switching modes...
The duals has alot more torque pulling a sled. Low range 1st gear it will pull alot of weight. Singles you need the 8.3 with the fuel turned up you dont realize how much low end power you loose with the larger tires. Stump pulling is childs play. Hooking 30k of concrete to the back of the truck...
The 8.3 is quieter. Will start easier in the cold. Seems a bit better on fuel. I have had a few trucks with newer dated 250s and they were nice trucks. The 8.3 has a lot of advantages though. It's the same with the older style and newer style trucks the old schoolers seem to prefer what they...
The trans keypad can display error codes. Press arrow up and down at the same time to enter. The error code guide is available online. If the trans computer is getting the same bad input, there should be an error stored. Or it could just be a bad speedo.
