Welcome aboard!!! Can't do you much good on the value but depends on how bad the rust is and where. These jeeps had frames, so is all that still strong. Surface rust on body panals can be treated and painted. Holes can be patched or panals replaced. Maybe some of the M38 guys will speak up.

RE: water pumps There is a place in Savannah Ga. that rebuilds pumps. Maybe you could call and talk to them. They are Savannah Clutch and Industrial Brake. They also rebuild clutchs and pressure plates and reline brakes.

I have used a product call Rust Converter for years and have been pleased with it. You just wire brush the loose rust and apply it. Where rust is present it reacts with it and turns black. You can use it as a primer and paint directly over it. It will not react on clean metal or painted...
