Also, if you've got a truck that tends to let the fuel run back out of the injector, letting the tank pump run for a bit to ensure that you've got fuel all the way up to the engine will help things... If you're cranking the engine without fuel up top, it takes a long time... One of my three...
I just installed one on my M37 and am in the market for one for my M35A2C (anybody got one for sale at a decent price?). They use the same basic mounting method and the drill size that I used for the screws was a 17.
I stay either in the back of my truck or in the trailer, depending on what I drove... As for showers, every year at least one of the guys in the convoy who has a hotel room, or a buddy who lives in the area, invites me over to partake of the hot water every day...
And as a buyer, I never leave feadback until the seller has since so often the seller seems to "forget" to leave feadback... I figure that the seller's feadback should concern how promptly I paid, mine is about the condition of the item compared to how it was listed, speed of shipping, and...
Guys,
A little while ago I sold a M101 trailer to a guy in IL who managed to loose an engine in his pickup when he headed east to pick it up...
The trailer has a M37 engine in it that was to be delivered by the trailer's buyer to another guy who lived forty miles from his house...
If any of you...
We are working on the East Coast Convoy for 2006... Hate to hear that Kenny is thinking of missing it this year as I was going to try to get him to shephard everyone from FL up to MD in the Southern Serial... :).
Seriously, we have talked about having the convoy earlier in the week, but a lot...
One nice thing about getting it running and working around it while keeping it bassically intact is that it looks like a truck and can be enjoyed while working on it so your enthusiasm can be maintained... If you have the space and the funds and feel that you can keep up the momentum, there is...
I'll have to pull the specs on it... It is a tube that has a fitting at each end for the fuel line, a clip that attaches it to one of the bolts on the engine block, and a pigtail for the power cord. Was originally hooked up to the temp gauage and only came on when it was cold when the engine...
Hot D***, I think that we have a winner!! I was just thinking last night that we needed a design. I like the idea of continuing the "helpful sticker" theme that we have used the last couple of years (tow bar sticker, jump start sticker) and this one would fit right in...
One other unit to consider for engine prewarming is an oil pan immersion heater... My Cummins 4BT has a boss on the oil pan that can be removed in order to fit a heater unit. Very similar to a coolant block heater, but for heating the oil in the pan... I can pull the part number out of one...
The guages in my truck are all 12 volt, and they fit perfectly... If you go to my website, you should be able to use the part numbers that I have posted (I think that I got them all), or you can use them as references if you want a different face, or the chrome bezel rings, etc. Let me know...
I've really been enjoying looking at the today and will be printing a few out to post around the shop tonight... Great addition to the site! A big thanks to the guys for posting them.
The bracket has a square hole in it that the pin (mentioned in a post above) fits when the door is closed. What is missing is the little spring clip that goes into the square hole in the bracket that actually makes contact with the pin in the door assembly...
I liberated one from a parts truck...
Guys,
I stumbled onto a M104 trailer a little while ago that I am collecting parts for (It needs a bunch of work)... Trailer is the 1.5 ton unit with a pair of tailgates (one in the front of the bed as well as one in the rear) with 1100x20 tires for use behind the older 2.5 ton trucks with...
Looks good.... Has anyone whacked it with thier shoulders yet???
I really need to do this to my truck before next year's Convoy...
How's his repower going??
Welcome...
Don't be too afraid to drive the green machine... We'll be running the East Coast Convoy to Aberdeen again in the spring to the big MV rally and would love to have you join us...
We have some guys who convoy over from Martinsburg, WV who join up with some guys from the DC area prior...
The bows on my non-dropside truck are all bolted together and cannot be taken apart by hand, the ones on my dropside have clips on the corners that allow me to seperate the upright/corner combination from the horizontal pieces by hand for storrage... Not sure if this is a...
You know, I'd really like to have a parts list for what Bjorn has got installed in his truck (just for the VIC-I setup)... You know, just a list of all the numbers off the boxes and cables so that when I'm at swap meets and such I can pick up the parts if I see them and then oneday, perhaps...
