So you have a black controller?
The A0 used pulse info from the speed sensor same as the speedometer. The newer trucks with the digital/integrated dash generate speed info in the trans controller and distribute it on the data bus. Depending on what controller you are trying in which truck...
What are the tires inflated to when you get the overspeed? Different vehicles used different pressure set controllers. If this controller was for a newer truck, not sure how it gets it’s speed info. Couple of variables that you need the exact controller and sub harness combination to satisfy…
The battery and alt are connected to the same terminal for both the 12 and 24v sections of the polarity box. The output to the cab/power panel is on the other terminal. The battery and alt need to be on the same terminal otherwise the power from the alt cannot get back thru the diode to charge...
Both those pics are with the tape measure hooked on the rear end of the upper frame which is flush with the rear end of the main frame. So the rear mount is centered 15” from the rear of the frame and the front mount is ~ 117” from the rear end of the frame…
Well a few of those originate in the data bus. I would check the connections around the gauge controller on the bulkhead in front of your left shin when seated…. Also check the 12/24V supply connections over in/under the power panel. I would also look back at the LBCD connections between spare...
Don’t think there is an adjustment. Is this an A0 or A1?
On an A0 which uses old school electric resistance transducers there are a pair of transducers under the left dash in front of your left shin when seated. real easy to get to if you pull out the STE connector and bracket(About 5...
A previous employer of mine used blue tops in it’s “fleet” and I was not impressed. We were always having issues with them. Part of that was the way they were wired/installed but not all of it. They went thru a lot of batteries…
AGM’s are cool and all, they are more resistant to shock and...
The cooling capacity isn’t the warmup issue on the A0, the plumbing is. On the normal bypass type cooling system, cat sent the warm water exiting the head out the bottom of the thermostat housing and right back to the waterpump and back thru the engine. This loop recirculates until the engine...
Looks similar to some tank mounts I have seen. Looks like some sort of rubber buffer in between the rear mount plates and dual springs, longer than what the 1079 uses…
I think I would rather have the drawbridge. Unless there is some lift mechanism we cant see this looks like it will take at least 2 people to raise and lower…
It looks like the front edge of the deck is attached to sliders in those vertical tracks. Once you get the supports out you pull the bottom/rear out and the front slides down the tracks…. I would think you would still want something to lift/lower it though…
Found it, here about year ago:)
Wow, my memory must be getting bad... the FSCM takes you to century spring co(in Ca) and the part number 4115 gets you to the below listed part.
1003 LB/IN but only about 1.3” of travel(free length to solid length)... musta mixed this up with something else, or...
That one shows less than 1” of travel, and I was thinking it was more than that. Those specs show under .8”, but the difference between free height and solid/compressed height is about 1.3” so Hmmm Maybe I am remembering it wrong(highly likley). I wrote about the one I found somewhere when I...
At one time I did some searching on the spring part number and came up with a manufacturer and specs. If I recall correctly the spring rate was just shy of 1000#/inch with an overall compression length of around 1.9” total or perhaps 1800# of force to reach full compression. The box and...
