Man, talk about straight off the dealer's lot, "turn-key", Sweet truck![thumbzup] I can almost see where you peeled the sticker price off the passenger window:wink:. Did it come with an 72mo/100,000mi. bumper to bumper extended warranty:?::?::wink:. Good score!
The M1 series of tanks, I crewed everything up to the M1A1, had both. We carried 13, 15 and 18mm 1/2" drive and 24 and 30mm 3/4" drive sockets. Also there were 13/15mm and 7/16-1/2" open end wrenches. I recall using the metric wrenches most. The track components were all 30mm.
Surely, a thorough review of the (T)echnical (M)anual regarding procedures and safety requirements was in order in keeping with the highest of military and Steel Soldier standards and traditions:wink:
:doghead: Way to help out[thumbzup]

Installed a new (to me) hood from ranchopper on Wed. June 13 to which I mounted a Solargizer panel. The hood needed a little tweaking while installing due some transportation warping:roll:. Gotta' love those freight guys.
Finished the Solargizer install today, June...

As it stands NOW, My truck is exempt from all the CARB rules coming into place due to Historic Vehicle registration status. However, I have this recurring nightmare of...
Derrickl112...Busy, busy, busy! All is looking great. Keep up the good work. Wish I more time for my toys.
Question: was the driver's seat direct bolt up to the original springer base bolt pattern? I have a line on these seats locally and I am curious to their ease of installation.
I enjoyed the pics of your M818. You have a good looking truck there. Thought I might offer up a suggestion for your fuel tank protectors. Use the ones from an M817 Dump Truck. I used them on my truck. You could cut them down so they don't stick up so high and interfere with a trailer. See...
:ditto:
Everything is coming together nicely! I always like the head on shots of the 5-Tons. The wide fenders with the narrow grille look is flippin' handsome.
