[SOLVED] 1997 M1088 pressure release valve at 30psi?

The unloader senses wet tank pressure. If there is a blockage between the dryer and wet tank, the dryer would see High pressure/overpressure And vent thru that safety release, but the unloader would only see the reduced pressure at the wet tank and keep the compressor engaged. Some air is...

M1088, Previous Runner, now no power at all... ideas?

Because they are melting the fuseable link, the difference is not very significant. Many of the fuse packages actually say 12 or 24v...

M1088, Previous Runner, now no power at all... ideas?

The fuses work fine, I keep a few of the breakers as they are handy when troubleshooting intermittent short circuits...

M1088, Previous Runner, now no power at all... ideas?

Well if you cannot turn on the lights, start with CB70. In addition to feeding power to the main switch to power the K2 relay, it also feeds power to the lightswitch.... standard 12v automotive fuses will be fine For both the 12 and 24v circuits...

M1088, Previous Runner, now no power at all... ideas?

Oh, and the breakers seem a little fragile to me. I kept a few for testing/troubleshooting, but replaced them all with standard automotive blade fuses. Way more predictable, especially when you add in vibration...

M1088, Previous Runner, now no power at all... ideas?

Voltage check at power panel test points = good. Not testing While under load = bad... gotta test when loaded(switch turned on) or they don’t count. what year truck? when you turn on the Main switch, it energizes the instrunment power relay K2 In the PDP. I would start there. 12v flows...

Air leaking from brake exhaust port

Which brake system exhaust port? There are several back on that crossmember. A picture would be valuable. I just did a rear brake component explanation video yesterday that might also help you...

    Fmtv no more dual voltage

I would just insulate and tie the excitation and sense wires back To the wiring bundle they come out of. one has 24v on it when the engine is running, so you need to make sure it doesn’t find a connection to ground...

    Suspension lowering alternatives

Are you refering to the suspension compression system? I am sure it could be used for other things, but I am simply removing mine...

What If: 1078 LMTV Automatic swap to Manual Transmission with divorced transfer case... because I sniff glue.

A 6-71 would probably scare the hell out of people:)

What If: 1078 LMTV Automatic swap to Manual Transmission with divorced transfer case... because I sniff glue.

Just run the dam Allison and enjoy the vehicle:) On the other hand if something could be done to lower the transfer and ease the driveshaft angles, that wouldn’t be such a bad thing... The 3070 and the 3060 trans it is based on are not such bad creatures with a pretty fair reputation. They...

    A/C new install

Cool, let us know how it works out. Also doing a bit of study on this type of AXV it also employs some properties of a TXV which is probably why it is used in so many places. Pressure buildup On the outlet of the evap applied to the diaphragm, relaxes pressure on the rod allowing the ball to...

    A/C new install

The stumbling block, pardon the pun, may be the block itself as that most likley has the machined passage/orifice that controls the overall flow rate. So the guts may swap, but If you are using the original valve block, you are stuck with the same machined passages. I would compare the passage...

Various dates on an LMTV M-1079

Want some more fun/confusion, you can load your engine serial number into the cat website and they will give you production and delivery dates for it also:)

    A/C new install

I think a 1 1/2 and a 2 1/2 Ton valve would use the same diaphragm, rod and spring as they both need to cutoff at Around the same pressure... I think where they are different is that the 2 1/2 ton has a significantly larger (60%) internal orifice And perhaps A little different size valve to...

    A/C new install

They use AXV’s in a LOT of places, so their shortcomings cannot be that great... there are two types, one with the spring on the diaphragm side, that was what was confusing me as that spring pressure on that type is increased to open the valve. This type balances the force between...

    A/C new install

ok, I missed your edit above. How did you get to the 3 1/2 turns, all at once or in slow little steps Monitoring pressure and temp? does your accumulator have a site-glass on it? One thing that could be happening is that you are indeed low on refrigerant and turning up the AXV or putting in...

    A/C new install

A TXV might have a slight edge in a wildly varying environment, but the AXV is simpler/more robust, not orientation sensitive and should get you acceptable performance. Again, if you are rolling temps below 32F you risk evap freezups. 35-40f outlet air should do a good job for you if all the...
