From what I am understanding - the top cover (shroud) is held on by bolts - YES - these bolts are threaded into what is called nut zerts - there were no nuts on the bottom or lock washers - they just htreaded in. At least that is what was on the 43 and I see no difference from them for the 37...
Probably one of the few true friends came to the house the other day where I was able to finally help them out - dislike it when I am not on the "upside" of being able to help someone.
Anyhow - had to set up an awesome display of the 43 upon arrival to welcome them.
The paint on the 43 has...
Debs radiator core was pretty well gone as well. I had it re-cored but my comparison is not a valid one because I get it wholesale and the labor is zero because I send them so much work. Cost for the core was $265.
Its worth it and the only way to go either with new or recore if you have...
No repair necessary or fabrication - just point the truck with the hinged end of the rain cap into the wind-. If your states wind blows from every direction move south.
Nothing done with Dingers - but Debs is all wired and working great. Speedo cable to hook onto the transmission yet - re-run a vacuum line to the wiper valve on the windshield frame - get some ammo cans tied up - fuel can tied up and teach her the hand signals for making right turn - left turn -...
Use to work in an International truck dealership for yrs - DT466's came in and out like they were on rubber bands.
Running them also here in 5 units with automatics behind them - nothing but problems out of them.
Now on the other hand the OEM engine in 109 - never a problem and runs like a...
DH - I already seen your big toe (through probing efforts) so I am holding the ACE card here.
Looks like ya stubbed your toe getting into bed BTW. Kind of looked like the red I painted the cross with - air brushed on. The purple - yellow I could not match colors with.
Oh I have had burns through tennis shoes when being really stuip doing this but only small stuff that makes ya jump and go holy CHit.
First time for a BIG hogger to burn through boots..
No bitching and whining from me as it will eventually heal and I have other stuff to do besides worrry...
Between the carb and the radiator is a big area. From the frame you have the inlet shut off valve in line before it goes to the dual action fuel pump.
Fuel action fuel pump to the carb and the inlet to the carb. There is no accelerator pump in that carb - it runs off vacuum.
Can you narrow...
Things happen when you least expect them and you think you are fully covered for anything that could rear its ugly head at you - but something always comes out to bite you and make you realize your not as smart as you think.
Tuesday night a fella comes over and needs a piece cut out of 1/2...
W O W - sure would like my grubby paws on that sweet baby
Nice score. I remember the feeling long time ago having to let something go I wanted to build so bad but just neither had the time or resources to do it and just knew someone else could enjoy it and make it into what I had in mind...
Did almost the entire day on the fuel issue of the 43 and a single bug in the system still seems to be rearing its ugly head.
May 12 here in Lilburn there is a car show and I am working towards running Zout2's jeep over there with her to show it with full ARRAY and the 43.
If I can get my...
Hurry up - I think your air show is coming up once again out this isn't it ???
Sure great to see your pics and you folks back to turning wrench's on the 43 once again.
Still staying tuned to this channel till completed and happy face pictures taken of the first ride out.
When you stop for the cheap fuel and looking to eat cheap - Mac D'd and B-ing all stack their food in the dumpsters very neatly and you can always catch the freshest stuff on top of the stack. Fine dining rule #1.
Got back onto Dinger65's jeep today.
Have his full exhaust system in - coolant sensor - cleaned and assembled what parts he had for the 24v distributor.
Took inventory of what he needs to be able to at least get this baby fired up besides all the remainder of body parts/gauges etc he needs to...
Sure thought you had a GamaGoat sitting there to be worked on and running
That Bobber is butt arse ugly as WM's photo PB keeps posting but it sure is a pretty POS.
Question is - will it be the first truck to be buried in the mud pit at the 2012 Ga Rally - putting Ferro and Tigger to...
"Honey - what you and the boys going to do today"
"AH" - "we're headed out to the shop and build us a Tiger Tank from scratch" - "and have ourselves some suds while we're tinkering".
Gotta just love this stuff. They musta lost my phone number because that would have been a great project to...
