I'm getting ready for the cold Dakota winters (hey, the high the other day was 62 and I could see my breath the other morning [and I even brushed my teeth!]) and think it's about time to replace all the original window (door and windshield) and door rubber seals. I've looked over some of the...
Make sure your Continental engine is or is not a military standard engine. A mS contains high mortality parts throughout. I'm currently overhauling my Continental that is in a generator as well. Mine is a military standard and most components (bearings, valves, PISTONS, etc.) are NOT standard...
If anyone knows of any NOS kits out there, please let me know. Saturn was empty last time I checked. I can't believe I'm getting ready for winter... but it snowed in SD yesterday... I figure the alcohol kit, with two block heaters and an oil pan magnet heater should do the trick this winter...
Thanks guys, that is it. I searched all the posts but haven't figured out how to search the old part of SS yet. I recently picked up this truck and it has so many upgrades (engine, trans, air shift xfer, alt. ,etc.) that I just wanted to know if this MWO was something special.
Thanks again...
Can anyone identify this MWO? I've searched everywhere and have come up empty. It says it was applied in 2-90. This is on a 1970 M35A2.
Thank you,
jonesal
Does anyone have a part number for the cable and bendix connector shown above? I've looked in the TMs and 24P and cannot find it. I *even* searched the hell out of the threads. Lots of P/Ns for the VIC-1 setup but not the cable/connector from the bracket to the battery.
And help is...
Here's another M35A2 purchased from GL:
VIN on frame: 0525-11206
Door Number: 04F90970
Purchased: Sioux Falls SD
Bumper Nos: 147-IF HQ-161
My guess is year 1970, manufactuer 65909 (please confirm). I would like to know the registration number, contract number, and correct NSN.
Data plate...
New to the list, new to M35s, not new to MVs. Recovered a M35A2 W/W from the Sioux Falls Maintenance Facility. They used it as their rig in the shop. It's a 1970 with many upgrades (1997 LDT-465-1C, air shift xfer, new steering box, many others). This is one of the best maintained rigs I've come...
Just picked up a M35A2 at the GL. It looks like the main data plate has been replaced?? It's NSN 2320-00-077-161 (I assume that's standard), the ID No. is blank, the MFD By is blank, and the contract number is blank. The GL paperwork says it's serial number 525-11206. Can any please help me...
