That’s the beauty of having the tools and supplies for a project.
If it doesn’t turn out like you want ......start over.
That usually results in some great work.
Learn from mistakes or see how a different idea will work.
That’s the wonderful thing about the M101A2, it can handle almost...
Anyone who has been in aviation long enough knows stupid things happen.
Complacency, overconfidence, fatigue, get-home-itis syndrome, etc. are all factors.
I was sitting right seat in an MH-47, and after startup, watched the ground crew as they were pulling a MH-60 Blackhawk to the flight...
These are absolutely wonderful units.
Wife was impressed how quiet it was and that we had power and comfort when thousands of others were in the dark.
Yes
I do love it!!!
Had storms roll through last night.
Nasty gust front with winds up to 90mph
Overturned Semis on Interstate, trees down, power lines down etc.
Fired up the Unicor NF2D Light tower.
The Kubota engine and Kohler 7k Generator performed flawlessly.
Fairly quiet too.
Ran like a champ in the...
The time it’s taking to ask questions and figure out how to bypass a system could be spent actually fixing the system to work as designed.
If you particularly want a button for some reason, then disregard.
Mine works perfectly, all stock and no buttons or bypass's.
Been flawless down to -6*...
Sure.
If your able, do it yourself.
Very easy.
Just use a FelPro or National seal.
Lots of junk seals out there.
If not, buy the good seal yourself and watch them install it.
I’ve heard of some shops switching customers good parts with China junk.
No personal experience, just reading...
Changing the locks is one of the very first things I did to truck.
I used the ACDELCO 2 key kit.
Round key for door.
Square for ignition.
Still use the chain through the steering wheel also.
I do like your one key setup.
Probably would have done that If I knew about it back then.
Diesels make weird noises for sure.
Assume you’ve crawled over/underneath and checked all mounts and bolts, etc.
I mean everything. Not just on the engine.
Doesn't sound like a crankshaft issue, but I’ve never had a 6.2 apart either.
I would exhaust all possible sources before tearing into...
The M101A2 is...., IMHO, the best trailer the military ever fielded.
Of course there are pros and cons of both the M101A2/3-M1101/2.
Both very practical and extremely useful.
The M105’s were almost given away.
Not practical at all and not very useful, unless you have a 2-1/2 or 5 ton to...
I’ve seen your trailer in person.
It was DOT compliant before the crash.
Lots of BS over on the crash thread.
Some definitely haven’t a clue what their talking about.
Well.......
You'll be seen now for sure.
Rolling Christmas tree.
I recommend that you drive it for a month or so, maybe less, and then service it again.
Don’t wait until it starts making noise again.
The sludge might take some time to work itself out.
Filters/fluid are inexpensive compared to a rebuild.
Hopefully you lucked out and nothings hurt inside.
Dexter and Redline also carry them.
Any decent trailer shop will have them in stock.
Very common as mentioned.
$22 part here in OKC.
Recommend replacing both at same time.
X2 on the Line-X
You definitely get what you pay for.
Have the beds of all my trucks done with Line-X, except my M1008A1. Not doing that one.
I even had them spray the inside of a new WeatherGuard aluminum toolbox.
Great stuff and can’t beat the warranty.
The only drawback is you have to...
