Still waiting on fuel filters and radiator cap to show up. Oil filter showed up this evening.
But she's ready.
New Optima Red Top
All new fuel hoses and new fan belt
Already filled with Mobil 1 Delvac and fresh Prestone 50/50.
Fuel tank (9 gallons) is now full and Seafoam/two-cycle oil...
Didn't know about the TWIC.
I figured there was something like that to ease the entry process for those who are there a lot.
Yes
Drove right past the tank testing area. Pretty cool.
We did do a little side trip on some of the back roads.
About 10 miles deep.
We were never in a...
Picked up a NF-2D at RRAD on Tuesday.
Amazing place.
My first time on the ground there.
It is of course a closed base.
Meaning you have to have a reason to be there or you don't get on, Military ID or not, unless your assigned. More to it than that, but gives you the idea.
Something...
That turned out really nice!
Yea, this one of course has the Kubota Diesel engine and Kohler 7kw generator.
Besides missing filters and TO manual, everything is there.
Including maintance records!
One tire needs replaced. Wasn't just flat but something very recently slashed into it. Thanks...
A gun rack in the back window of a California truck?
Surprised the rack alone isn't illegal.
Nice truck.
Lifts aren't my style but it's clean and detailed.
I agree some things don't need the top of the line parts.
However, brake parts, no matter what it's on, get the best parts I can afford.
I never know what I will be hauling and want the brakes to work every time, all the time.
Lifetime warranty means nothing if I have to replace the same part...
Ok.....and?
The replacement parts for these trailers have been posted in different threads over a dozen times.
I know because I've read all the old threads. Every single one.
The Dorman number didn't show up in your search. It will now since he's posted it.
Most guys stay away from Dorman
A...
The part numbers for those, and other brake/Axle/wheel components, have been posted many times.
They are all still readily available from different manufacturers.
A thorough search would have revealed that.
Dorman is a lower quality part.
Buy the best parts you can afford.
You do get what...
Service and parts manuals acquired.
Will be uploading them to the TM section shortly.
Thanks to "Kevin K" over at SmokStak
Still on the hunt for the extremely elusive TO.
EDIT
Service manual isn't wanting to load for whatever reason.
The operators manual was inadvertently added to the TM...
Big Thanks to "Kevin K" over at SmokStak Who sent me the service AND parts manuals.
Will be uploaded to the TM section shortly.
EDIT:
Post in TM upload section inadvertently included the operators manual
The service manual isn't wanting to load for some reason
Thanks!
No parts or service manuals from Kohler. I asked.
Still working on finding the TO.
There was never a TM to my knowledge,......unfortunately.
I've seen units that have sold on GP that have a pouch attached to the rear door, on the inside for the manuals.
I pick mine up Tuesday...
When I completely went through my trailers, on one the brake shoes were on backwards. On another, bearings were trashed on one side and looked new on the other side. That side was missing a major brake spring also.
I replaced everything regardless of how it looked.
Spindles and drums were in...
The S-250 will be your best bet.
Will work on the Ford and will drop right in a CUCV M1028.
Seems like no two shelters are configured the same.
Lots of great camper build threads in here with the S-250.
Good luck
