Bolts should be larger also, 1" I think. I know the steel thickness at the stud is 1/2" on my wheels, thicker than combat. If you have 11.25" BC, I'll dig one out and get some photo's.
I bought a lot of them from GL, I think about 12. They fit a standard semi axle, so can be used for...
7 new tires. Got the Michelin 395 XZL's on my 929, replacing the Goodyear 14.00. Hauled about 20 loads of huge (hand cut granite) foundation stones and can say the Michelins are much more stable than the GY.
FLU Farm, Actually I was asking Gringo.
Is there a pump that comes with the Unimog?
Myself, I want more volume and there will be a high solids content if I do it by pump. I'm thinking fire truck. Or a completely mechanical method, like a chain conveyor.
But with the rear, I see you...
So what do you have for a hydraulic driven trash pump?
I have a field of muck that we are excavating, leaving a pond, but I can only get a couple of feet deep. The whole area shakes when the excavator moves and a couple times I've wondered if the 929 was going to make it out.
I'm thinking...
My mistake. Added hardware for each wheel when apparently it's about $40 each. So it's more like $490-ish each.
I don't have any for sale either (395's)...used them and had to squeeze penny's to buy 2 more for the dump truck.
Enough seals and bearings for a total rear replacement, including that pesky outer seal.

Make an offer!
Michelin XZL 395's are on my 929 but I have not put the shocks on yet. Ride has improved. I need a few more miles but most of my bounce seems to have calmed down. With a heavy load of concrete, it is definitely different than 14.00's...more stable. They have a wider footprint than the...
I have the Monroe 65116 and when comparing them, see they are about 1" smaller diameter than what's on my 929. Length seems right and bolt seems okay. What is the deal with them being smaller diameter?
Hbrazell,The 395 is a large tire. I just put them all the way around on my 5 ton dump truck. They add a lot of rotating, un-sprung weight to a deuce.
I like them on a deuce but they don't leave much space between the rears. My plan was to make an A3 into a 4x4, so I bought 5, but the dump...
Not sure why, but my Goodyear 14.00 seem to be egg shaped.....was killing my back. Put 395 Mich XZL on the rears and today get the fronts....with new Monroe shocks. Otherwise the GY are excellent looking tires with lots of tread. Bounce was worse than any bias tire I have ever had. Today will...
see "Go Advanced"....click that.
Then click on upload pictures and with a couple clicks, you should be able to bring them into your file. Drag them down to use them.
Disclaimer...I may be full of shi but it seems to work
I paid $3400 for a non runner back in the GL days. But it was an 83, last year made and really in rather good condition. I did have to take the transfer case out for work, put in new batteries and deal with fuel lines/tank issues...and paint. Used it on a job and sold it around $10K.
If the...
Here is a thought on tires. I like front flotation that the reversed budd does not have. A 365/85R20 would go on combat rims but is 2" taller than the 365/80R20 that is the same rev/mile as the 11.00 (but a "metric" fit). With the sprag, and the fact that there is a difference in gearing...
Had both and can compare (sold 817). Also have some experience with transfer case and sprag over-run clutch.
Don't even think about singling out the 817. The duals are much more stable with a load. When I finish changing to new 395's on my 929 and don't have egg shaped tires on the front...
