Is the spare axle yours? With the rims and tires, even in poor condition but holding air, dual them up and offer it for sale to farmers. Here is one that I put my old rims/tires on. They are about 1.5" wider than the legal DOT limit but on a farm would not matter.
I see there are some green shocks on fleebay (thanks M35A2-AZ) that appear to be mil surplus. Can't tell the manufacturer nor when they were made. Would they be as good as the Monroe? Or could they be really old stock or possibly not gas. Are gas better than non-gas?
I used Behr Ultra Premium Plus and added Flotrol. On the M929, there is a line across the door where I have started, so you can see the comparison of old paint and new. (383 green).
Don't do it in extreme heat or direct sun and it will smooth out better and use red primer to repair rust...
Can anyone clear up what the part numbers and sources are for front shocks on a 5 ton, M939 series? I have a terrible bounce and am replacing 14.00 Goodyears with 395 XZL on my M929A2 and would like to put new shocks on, but am not clear on part numbers from a search.
Who makes you an authority when at least one member has a wrecker with both wheels ALL of the studs broken off (with these wheels). These type of comments should be left off the public comment board. If you don't like us telling people when we think something is unsafe...go someplace else.
Check with red...he broke all off on one side rears on his wrecker. We disagree (more like haven't agreed) as to why. My theory is that the rim can slightly rotate and put a bending moment on the stud and it's not a pure shear. And if you look at the nuts, it's not a straight chamfer, it's...
When I add Seimens S7 programmable control to hydraulic positioning, because of the high cost of proportional, I use 2 valves, one with high flow for rapid movement and one with low flow for fine control (most 24 vdc). In my case, the code is set up to have both valves on and at X- a certain...
The sleeve (pictured) fits around the stud snug and fills to the diameter of the hole. It is just shorter than the metal is thick. The picture was for my Henderson's, steel, with hub centered and I think is different than your al hole (1" vs 1 1/8") , but DOM tube can be had in about any size...
I sold the 3p I was using to the jail for $500 and they leave it permanently attached (they wondered why their welders never worked quite right). They are out there cheaper than $2500, but that is probably a retail price for a larger one.
A motor winding for 230 and 460 but without a rating for 208 will (likely) be 10% less copper (draws 10.7% more amps based on voltage, single phase). Older motors tended to be more generous, but don't count on it. Why take the chance when you could bump it up. There appears to be some...
The problem is that today, most things are built to the edge of their rated duty cycle and no more. Some call it a throw away society. The amount of copper is the issue. Motors rated for 208 have slightly more copper in the windings because they draw more amps. Heating makes resistance go...
I think there is a structural problem, not having a perfect shear, by putting a bending moment on the stud. Braking hard might be disaster. I think the ball socket does not help. Filling the void, all the way so the bolt cannot bend, might stop that, but myself, I'd go to bigger bolts. I...
Do you have commercial refrigeration? Most home refrig's run on 120v. If your running a 120v machine on 208 (coming from 2 legs and not one leg to neutral), then it's getting too much voltage.
When you run most transformer based welders on 208 you will stick the rods a lot from low voltage. Some motors do not have the 208 volt rating as well. Refrigerator compressors don't like 208 if they are not rated for it.
I do work in jails that are all 208/120Y. I use a three phase...
How are you doing the half tracks? Does the circumference change as it articulates? A place nearby makes tracks for skid loaders and I've often wondered if they would work.
Well actually it's on the credit plan....with interest. Almost all US money is created by loaning money (issuing bonds and such)....and our borrowing to buy all this stuff carries the cost of money....interest. Not only did we as taxpayers put that 15k on the credit card....by now we've got...
Thought he meant the trailer...but that's a really nice tank, insulated and stainless! I don't think we're supposed to link active ebay items.
I was wishing for a trailer like yours and watched them go higher than I wanted to pay. It looks really nice and appears smaller than the 1102. Does...
