Personally I use Power Service supplement but any name brand supplement will do the job. Most issues nowadays in older diesels, including vehicles, is that they have removed sulfur from the fuel. Sulfur is a lubricant. So additives that provide extra lubricant are needed. I do not see anything...
I have seen oil in the coolant before but that appears to be ALL oil and no coolant. With all of the other problems I think this is a unit that has hit the mark for diminishing return. You have already spent for more than it is worth and you have no manuals or parts availability. I think you...
I was just going to say the same thing, Check for loose wires and contact Kloppk. Too me it sounds like a loose wire that just can't carry the field load after a certain point.
Install separate meters for each leg. If you want to modify the unit that is the easiest and best way to get what you want without changing the wiring.
GMG says they have the manuals but I do not see anything but specifications on the linked site.

Are you running the lathe through a phase convertor or are you powering your house with three phase? You mention the 240 for house and garage but show 3 phase connections and mention the 3 phase lathe.
2900.00 plus 13% buyers fee. 3277.00. Still a LOT of money for a 28 volt genset of that size. With an engine that drinks fuel at what I am sure is very high rate.
Were those two cut wires twisted together? I am not all that familiar with that machine but on the 003 and 2 that would be an oil pressure safety switch. They are known to go bad and engine will not run due to a perceived lack of oil pressure. Your gauge is probably wired through the electronics...
I think the main issue would be connection the engine to the accessory. From what I have been told these have a unique flywheel arrangement. I have a 23 horse Kubota engine I would like to put in something. A bit overkill for my log splitter though. I actually thought about using the Kubota on...
Nice, I will definitely be watching this since they just announced a 25% increase in my electric bill. On top of multiple 2-3% increases per year for the last 5 years. Beautiful house. Well thought out with the sun exposure through the windows and wood stove.
Most of the time a hard to remove filter was installed far to tight. An automotive oil filter is hand tight plus 1/4 turn. I have seen guys tighten it with one hand and then grab it with both hand and turn it an addition 2-3 turns. Most of the time they just use the same removal tool to...
I have run into that with oil filters on cars. About the only way to have a completely dry oil filter gasket is to clean the gasket surface and surrounding area with brake cleaner. In some of those cases I had to resort to a torch to heat the base (That was all that was left after tearing off...
