well... found the problem... at least the latest problem as they never seem to end... The reason the fuel pump wasn't pumping is that I did screw up the fuel pump install somehow, and apparently when I cranked the engine over the first time a week ago it broke the end (or more) off the push...

How many times cranking the engine should it take before I get fuel out the vent on the fuel filter? If I'm not getting fuel out the filter vent, then I guess that must mean I screwed up on installing the lift pump....

Yes, I know my tapping with a hammer isn't the right way to fix it. But it did at the very least tell me what the issue was with certainty. And it got the truck going at that moment. And yes you may be right in the fact that fuel doesn't get to the parts that stuck. I was thinking it did...

Yeah, I know, and you're right actually. We chuck the tires anyway, and where we have it parked normally, it isn't going anywhere.
