1969 LCVP (Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel)

Had to do it while the m151a2 was out:hammer::

    Cucv 105a2

This is the same chassis as an m105. I think my other m1028 sits higher up, the one pictured has broken and well worn springs.

    Cucv 105a2

Actually with the lunette down an m105 series will be pretty close if not level, just checked some pics from when I've done it. Without a full amount of weight the m1008 will handle it, "legally" it may not be ok. m1101s, m101a3s, m101a1s with the lunette up will be pretty level. The m101a2...

    Cucv 105a2

You'd need some lift to make it work, even with the lunette flipped down it will not be quite level. You also won't have functioning brakes so check your local laws on that.

    M934 Stalling out help needed

No, you don't need ether all the time to start it. That's 100% BS.

    M105 lowered.

That's typically what I use as well.

    Trailer Slave Cable

Is this the same style as a semi tractor cable with a 12 pin plug on either end? If so what's the length?

Administrator, can you please contact a member with a full inbox?

He should receive an email that you tried to PM him but his inbox was full (at least I always do). I'm sure he'll clear some space and get back to you.

    The VTCS m756a2 Pipeline Truck

Some more pics of the pipeline truck in use in the last few months. It's only had one job, helping get my landing craft project and bridge truck home. The whole story of that is in it's own thread: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?169941-1969-LCVP-(Landing-Craft-Vehicle-Personnel)...

    Parking brake drum?

    Voltage at starter solenoid

Generally when I've got a CUCV that seems fine until you crank its problem is a bad battery. 6TLs, 6TMFs, are absolute junk in my experience, I'll never pay money for one. I think I've lost 3 or 4 in the last year in just a few trucks, even a truck driven every single day. Voltage reads fine...

    Upgrade or Downgrade

Windshield glass will not work as the m817 cab is narrower. The doors are interchangeable though.

SS username is Hayabusa. His last text to me: "Good thing you're up there you Vermont homosexual!" rofl This dude is 50 years old and that's the best he's got. Sad.

    A not-so-funny story (hz)

I usually list stuff for the price I want for it. If someone wants it, fine. If someone thinks it's too high, that's fine too. My friend who owned the generator would not negotiate on his prices either, and those who knew him well knew you'd be better off not asking him to. If I'm willing to...

That is a funny coincidence for Mr. 400hz:doh: Apparently he didn't think so.:shrugs:

    A not-so-funny story (hz)

So before this thread was started I received 4 PMs in a row from a new SS member. Told me to call or text him in the morning. I sent him a PM right back with my info. He called me in the morning and I told him everything I know about the genset I've got in the classifieds. Such as... It...

M52A2W Buying Opportunity.. Good or Bad?

That's a multifuel engine, not a Mack. Stock for an m52a2.

    M135 glass pattern

The glass isn't the same as on an m35, the windshields are wider.
