What did you do to your deuce this week?

I replaced the magnetic relay in the truck and did some painting on a new step ladder I purchased.

    Durability question

The paint is perfect. It's the same color without the CARC, they used the same specs. It's also oil based so much easier to apply and it does hold up very nicely. Just make sure to either DR the paint first before applying and or take the current paint to bare metal and reprime, etc.

    Durability question

Rapcoparts (aka gillispie paint) is great. It's not toxic like the real CARC and they have all the military colors to choose from, which makes it an easy one stop shop. They also have paint cans so you can do small touch up stuff. I am very pleased.

    My new to me MKT-75A

Nice MKT, welcome to the club. It is a lot of fun. If you can get the MBU units, pick them up. They are either hard to get or pricey. Good luck!

Great addition to your collection. Looks in beautiful shape. Why was Littlefields collection being auctioned off to begin with? Did he need the money?

New type of LED's for MV?

I wonder how much of a difference do they really make and I would assume the price on these are going to be outrageous like the last set. Unless you can buy some online in bulk.

    My Tatra T815 VT 8x8

What a great find! Where did you pick this up if I may ask? Does the 815 require you to double clutch or are they all syncros?

    Normal top speed for Deuce

Its not changing the gear ratio, but when you added larger tires to a vehicle, the engine will loose some torque to rotate the larger tires. Because the tires are larger, it will take less revolutions to go the same speed as stock 9.00r20s, therefore you will have increased your top speed. The...

Singles drop the rpms on the motor and increase your overall speed.

    Normal top speed for Deuce

Put singles on it and run the same speed at less rpms, you will get better fuel economy too and if you need the extra speed it will bring you up abotu 10mph.
