What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Have been chasing down why ctis wasn't working. Replaced a leaky hub seal, rebuilt a few wheel valves, but still wasn't working right. Today I found the front fill line to the hub is super porus and a spray of soapy water resulted in a foam party. Time to find a hose builder

Pretty sure he is using ACU or similar, aluminum covered plastic core.

    Seized ether start solenoid

Sounds like I currently have that QS4 version then. The TMs I have don't have A1R info unfortunately. I would love to get a copy, currently all I have for A1R are the electrical diagrams, which have been extremely helpful.

    Seized ether start solenoid

Saw that. No luck contacting Quick Start either. Sure would be nice if they had a designation datasheet. I imagine some of the modifiers are for bottle thread side, materials use, solenoid spec (12V, 24V, continuous), port location, size, electrical connector, and thread types. The QS4-6SS...

    Seized ether start solenoid

Part number is QS5-5CTP, NSN 4810014428695. Not finding them in online searches but I know there must be a ton out there. Any leads?

    Seized ether start solenoid

If you are aware of solvent that can dissolve aluminum oxide and the galling/corrosion I'm all ears. Unfortunately the solution of this issue (using the special cap that is literally right next to the valve) was not used so water got inside of there and the whole thing completely seized up.

    Seized ether start solenoid

2007, no part number on the part, haven't looked in TM yet

    Seized ether start solenoid

Just put power to the connector at solenoid connector and got no click from solenoid(did see sparks indicating solenoid is good)

    Seized ether start solenoid

Well you can take it apart (I used a torch to weaken threadlock). Unfortunately it ripped the corroded AL threads off.

    Seized ether start solenoid

Solenoid/valve is seized. Before trying to source a new one I figure I'll try and rebuild. I was able to get the solenoid off the bottom but it appears the valving may come apart. Curious if anyone has any experience with these? I tried a pipe wrench and no joy there, but it may have a ton of...

CTIS pressure settings increase - no programming, transducer, or module required.

Nice work! I noticed the "MTV only" wire in the diagrams the other day. I have a 1096 and got an eBay replacement black controller (I believe second of the three versions) and have trying to get my ctis working, chasing leaks. I was able to verify 55psi is the highway setting it currently has...

    M1078 Roof Measurements

2007 with 1800 miles, not broken here, although pretty rusted. Have too long a list of items to be replaced already.

ECO Hubs Who needs 3:07 gears?

I do worry a little in recovery situations, literally twice the torque to the rest to the drivetrain to apply the same force. Really don't want to shred a diff or snap an axle. I'd be hesitant to do stump pulling or other such activities, with the 2:1, likely traction is the weak link...now it...

CTIS spewing gear oil but controller not connected.

Here are the pages. I'm not super familiar with the 939, but it looks like blocking both sides of the seals, then pressurizing to 80psi and checking that no more than 10 PSI leaks out in 1 minute.

CTIS spewing gear oil but controller not connected.

I'm not finding a refence to that tool for testing hub seals? This is the closest I found:

CTIS spewing gear oil but controller not connected.

Ronman: Yes, you have it all correct, I was just wording the CTIS vent as describing the front hub vents

CTIS spewing gear oil but controller not connected.

After digging though TMs and posts on here, found the two axle vents and the 2 hub CTIS vents all connect together and vent is located near the bellhousing vent. Verified that one by blowing into it and could feel the air compression(like blowing up a balloon), air flowing back tasted horrible...
