Move to Texas and get a DL here. You can get a Class A Non-CDL that'll let you play with all these kinds of toys without having the commercial crap. Plus then I'd have someone to go LMTVing with.
Made it home about 1330 (after leaving home at 0430) and all went fairly well. Turns out the new trailer didn't have a crank handle so we had to improvise with a Phillips screwdriver. It actually worked fairly easily both up and down. The IV cable was a bear to get in but once in place all...
Unfortunately there's only a couple of 25 amp CBs and the tail lights and markers are 2 of them. I'll just start packing a handful of extra fuses and try that route for the time being. Any guidance on buying new replacements for the CBs?
Checking all my lights this afternoon for the trip to pick up my new trailer and found I had no tail lights. I've had this issue before and by simply wiggling the CB for the tail lights they'd work until I left it sitting for a couple of days. Well I went to try this little trick and...
The problem is finding one for a 7 pole/round pin connector locally (not to say they not out there) but none of the regular part stores even had round pin plugs thats why I had to go to a trailer supplier to get it. And I doubt you can get a pre-made one with an extra 12v lead coming off of it.

So I'm trying to get ready to pick the trailer up Thursday and wanted to get a couple of things done but don't really have time to do everything in a permanent fashion. The 2 biggest items were the backup camera and I wanted to be able to use my magnetic trailer lights in case I can't get the...
In full tilt the upper front edge of the cab (including marker lights) is approximately 40" in front of the bumper. The "peak" of the back of the cab/roof would then be approximately 11' high. Hope that helps.
I've been looking at going to Big Bend National Park towards the end of Oct beginning of Nov and caught a couple of trail ride videos by Jeep clubs. I thought that would be a pretty wild thing to do with a group of LMTVs. Some of the reasons are selfish in that I'd like to do this with a group...
