I'm trying to get the carb rebuild kit for my Mite. The Holley carb that is on it has numbers: 6R1822B. However, this does not match with any of my auto parts suppliers books. Can someone give me a compatible number so I can order a kit?
Thanks in advance!
I 'm not sure what SBU stands for. However, an SBU model is the square cab which was made from 1977 until now. A picture of your Mog would help. Maybe you can post one? If you have the rounded body style, then parts are very easy to come by and relatively inexpensive. The SBU body style...
Where in Florida are you? There is another Mog owner, Bill Stauffer in Oviedo. He can be quite helpful. If you need parts, try Expedition Imports: www.expedition-imports.com

I went there back in 2003 with Bruce Kalin. There was so much stuff that you had to climb over everything to see anything. He had a bunch of gama goats, GEOR's, deuces, 5 tons, and piles of other stuff. I heard that he started scrapping a lot of it because scrap prices are so high. Wouldn't...
I have a nice M38A1 also! Mine is a combination of three Jeeps: a 1952, another 1952, and a 1953. I took the best body parts which are all very much rust free. I even have the hard to find Arctic top! Now if I can only find doors...
Restoration has begun but not much money to put towards it.
The event has been by invitation only to European vehicle owners. I doubt that any deuces have ever shown up.
I only plan two vacations ever year: Aberdeen, MD & the East Coast Convoy and Northwest Mogfest. Both are well worth going to.
RE: Re: RE: I can smell it already
Just so everyone knows...
The annual Northwest Mogfest is also taking place that weekend. The organizers of the event are trying to do something with the MVPA show. We may organize some sort of convoy up to the show. It will be a total European invasion!!!
That Unimog belongs to Darrin Fink from Douglas, WY. I was lucky enough to visit Darrin and his wife Andie back in 2004 at their home. He went to school for engineering and is originally from the Baltimore area. Now he owns a ranch and does some amazing technical stuff. Such as: his entire...
Kyle,
My Mite is titled as a 1963 but the previous owner said it was incorrect. The serial # is 2669. Thanks for the mechanical tips. As far as going anywhere a Unimog can go...I seriously doubt that. I owned a U1300L before my Mite and took that in places I wouldn't dare go in any other...
RE: Re: European Invasion
Manny,
Love the Volvos! I was lucky enough to drive Sean Molloy's quite a bit at Northwest Mogfest. He has the open cab one like yours. If I were to purchase another European vehicle, it would definitely be the Volvo over a Pinzgauer or Unimog.
RE: here
The Southwind heaters run off of gasoline...not much use in a diesel truck. I also have a 24 volt heater that runs off of the diesel fuel but it also requires the usage of the batteries...thus defeating the purpose of trying not to drain the batteries down.
Thanks for the...
