I'm tired of draining my batteries every time the temps dip near zero here. Can anyone recommend where to get an inexpensive block heater for the 6.2?
Thanks in advance!
Dave,
I have some 12 volt wiring as well. I bought my Mite from Jim Molloy (Northwest Mogfest coordinator & host). He added 12 volt turn signals. They are in an ugly place but the holes are already there so why make more holes.
My horn is not working, my brake lights are not working, and my...
I went out again today. It was warmer and sunnier. However, about twenty minutes into my ride, a snow storm moved in. it's coming down pretty hard now.
I took the Mite through 4" of snow on the trails and it seems kind of squirrely. I think because of the short wheelbase and the light...
Does anyone have Mite wiring diagrams they can scan or photocopy and send me? I have all of the other manuals except the wiring and I have a few things that aren't working on my Mite.
Thanks in advance.
Hey Randy...did you go over to the Mall in Rockaway and run over some holiday shoppers?
Yep...this sure is some nice country out here. Lots of open space, plenty of freedom. I had my guns with me but was enjoying the scenery too much to start blasting away!
Bjorn...not much different than...
Justin,
I tried to look for Erik's email address but was unable to locate it. He used to have a website with his name but that is not up and running. I can vouch for Dave Dunn, Erik had some of the cleanest Pinz's around. He definitely took care of them but he also used them for what they...
After cutting some firewood, I realized that it was a little warm today, probably around thirty or so. The skies are overcast but that didn't stop me from taking the Mite out for a spin. It wasn't really cold since it can only do 45mph. I mostly stayed on the snow covered dirt roads. I...
I had two International trucks. One with the DT360 and one with the DT466. They both proved to be very reliable. I didn't put a lot of miles on them since I switched over to a Mitsubishi truck that had 215hp and was faster than the Internationals.
Andy,
I am not sure of the off road capabilities yet. I have a flat spot in my carb so I am just driving it around town. Town is only six blocks long. I'm not too crazy about how little the front wheels turn. They turn about the same as a Jeep. I guess I am used to my Unimog which had a...
Tony,
I have a 36" inseam and I fit well in my Mite. However, I have found that the steering wheel is kind of low when you try to get in and out. Thus, the need to "slide" in. Also, I am sure you have big feet. I wear a size 13. I usually wear lineman's work boots that have double the...
I'm 6'-2" and I fit in my Mite just fine. It's tricky getting in and out, you have to slide into the seat. My knees are up pretty high but it's not an uncomfortable position.
The M105A2 Unimog camper is still available: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=PN_zClassifieds&file=detail&cat=5&de=835
I could list it on eBay but most people there are looking to get the best lowest price for things.
Hey Guys,
I really need to get rid of some of my trailers. I'm doing renovations on my home and I know that I am going to come up short on funds. I also need the space. Since I sold my Unimog, I don't have a vehicle that can pull some of them. I have three trailers for sale, all located in...
Nick,
Great pictures! Wish I knew you were around, we could have met up.
I purchased my M105 from Lakehurst and they didn't help me at all. The forklift operator pulled it out of the DRMO lot and once he got out of the gate, that's where he left it. He wouldn't even lift the front end to...
Mike,
I'll have to snap some pics when I get home next week. The heater is military, German made, for making hot water. I thought it would be great in a camper. But then again, it would be awesome as a coolant heater. My concern is are there any seals that will corrode? And, once I run...
Bruce,
$25K is a steal for a U1300L. They are going for $35K and up right now. Well worth the money spent though. Check out my photos of my Mog in the SS photo gallery.
Oh...BTW, the M1009 is running great. No problems crossing the country three times except that a U-joint wore out and my...
Great photos! I've done some trail rides as well as Mark. I've been exploring the Pines since I started driving in 1984. Both of us know that area like it was our back yards. We did a trail ride in 2003 during a severe snow storm where the Pines got 23" of snow! Visibility was down to fifty...
