Either, or have if kind of sideways and it swings out and down. Could be flat against the rear of the cab, where the spare goes, or cut and weld a notch on one side of the bed and hold it sideways vertically there. Plenty of options................
Maybe throw on a couple shades of dark gray for an urban camo scheme?
I do like it all black, though. Do the stars in a slight off-white so they do not look too stark.
Funny you should mention Gear Vendors. I've also wondered if one would fit in the rear driveline of a Deuce to squeeze out a few more mph on the highway.
That was clever. I think we all just learned something from you. (Although you are better off just getting the correct wrenches - they are inexpensive enough, and if the belt breaks outright your trick might not work since you will run out of air).
I've tried that technique both ways (vaseline and grease) and it has never worked for me. The solvent in the spray paint thins out the coating, and the pressure of the spray pushed it aside, making a mess.
That inside cap looks really nice. Do all our Deuces have the same size pipe? I'd pay $5 shipped for one if you were to put in a bulk order. Since it should mail in a regular envelope/postage, that would be about 100% margin for you.
Nice use of a T handle with meaning, and nice shop!
You need to paint that go-kart to match your truck and mount it so that the truck 'spits out' the go-kart for special missions. I'm thinking the Bat Kart dropping out of the Bat Copter (remember that movie)?
Maybe you're Batman. :)
If I ran it at all, it would be under no load (drive shafts disconnected) and only for a minute or two at idle rpm for some splash. I would not want anything to get hot nor a bearing surface gall.
Why do you think it necessary to flush it out? Not really a sludge-producing component.
For an alternative source of low-pressure regulators, how about the gizmo atop the argon bottle on your welder? Or, a surplus unit from the O2 wall feed from your friendly, local ICU?
As I stated up front, I am not looking to do this. I was contemplating the Deuce with low HP, fairly high torque and high weight stacks up to these drag race automatic transmissions that handle 1000 HP and huge shock loads. Along the way, we have heard from many with drag race experience and...
I like the two project trucks you referenced in your first post, I like the ideas you have for your truck, I like the name you have picked out, and there it is.
If you want to further the zombie reference, the AKA can be 'Corporeal Punishment'.
:)
Questions like the one posted by the OP often bug me, as they are examples of illogical questions. It seems as though the person asking the question just knows two words, 'air bags', and defines 'safety' as the whether or not they are present.
Illogic. Illogic. Illogic.
If the intent of the...
Miller 200 and well over 10 years old.
Right, I did start at the lowest setting and I had the problems stated above. The Miller 200 chart I found on line said 6 and 6, and that just seems like crazy talk.
My welder:
I don't know. But in general, a full-flow filter is more 'open' so that the bearings, etc. get plenty of flow and a bypass filter that can be as fine as you'd like can be added.
The filters will bypass at a certain pressure differential, so I guess that 6 micron filters could clog more...
