Keith_J stopped by today and welded up the corner of the engine cover. We got everything back in line on the cover itself but it's still bent and sits cockeyed on the Goat. Outside of being able to twist it back or replace it I'm going to have to live with it the way it is. Since the weather...

Could you turn the butt pocket sideways (i.e. so the magazine pointed toward the side of the cab not the front of the cab)?

Nothing on mine but the same 2 screws. I would imagine it was some type of seal to finish closing the gap between the engine cover and bulkhead.

Since I don't know the seller I can't speak to his honesty but I would hope anyone would disclose any rust in something they're selling sight unseen, especially to someone overseas that's going to the expense of shipping it. I purchased our M37 off eBay and the seller was out and out fraudulent...

The other thing I worked on this afternoon was the engine cover. I pulled the reinforcement bracket off the right rear of the cover as it was obviously bent. The plan was just to pull it off, straighten it, then put it back on. Unfortunately underneath the bracket was a tear in the metal...

And here it is! Looks great and once I get the BO Light painted I'll post a final pic.
