My new to me Gama Goat

Wow. Lot of time and effort (and tires) went in to the 14 months you had it. I was hoping it might be re-united with it's brother at a show some time. I guess it'll be closer just not with someone I know.

    LMTV Air Conditioner

I haven't gotten one yet so if you know another source please share.

    LMTV Air Conditioner

Eastern Surplus has NOS condensors for around $400 (I believe) plus shipping. That's the last piece I need , oh and a truck, but I'm about set as well.

    2016 TX MV Rally

I was at Puke in the '80s. Different decade, same crappy place. I should have known it would be bad when there was a sign on the main road onto base that read "This is a substandard road. The State of LA is not responsible for damage to your vehicle."

    Buying a LMTV 1078?

Depends on how serious the transmission issue is. Price sounds decent especially for one already titled/licensed and something I'd be willing to pay. Going rate for a driver is that amount + fees/transportation costs and you still would have unknowns about mechanical issue possibilities.

Sending my Deuce to Organizational Maintenance Unit (a.k.a. Jeepsinker)

Sounds like a lot of tough "breaks" hopefully not the same with the "brakes." :)

Sending my Deuce to Organizational Maintenance Unit (a.k.a. Jeepsinker)

Wish I'd sent the Goat over to you. Might have saved me a new engine :) Mike - what's the plan for Mullins? I was going to let you drive the Goat but you can't have it all weekend.

Won a LMTV today, possible electrical issues.

With a M1078 they'd have to cut the windshield and cab sides/windows off. With a M1081 you just unbolt the hinges holding those pieces on.

Where can I find flat red paint?

Home Depot can match whatever color you want and mix it in flat.

    2016 TX MV Rally

I just got an email from Mullins about registering for the event. Have you guys done that in the past or just convoy over, park together and have an impromptu display?

    M1010 somebody talk me down

It's not a matter of running but rather you'll go through batteries left and right. The one I had would cook the rear battery continuously (over charging) until I replaced the DUVAC with a battery equalizer (before m38inmaine came up with his change idea). It was an interesting vehicle but not...

    Crown King & Horsethief Lookout

I already have permission it's just a matter of finding one close to home. I'd rather spend more on the truck than on the transportation.

    Crown King & Horsethief Lookout

A couple of those shots looked a lot like Idaho - until you see the Pinion Juniper everywhere. I showed the MRS so she'd be impressed with how our future truck will look in the mountains :)

    "Portrait Of LMTV Owner"

As long as you get to drive it more than work on it. Most Gama Goat owners aren't that lucky.

Will this towbar end work on a FMTV?

Around $8k. I'm sure some will come up at Ft Hood sooner or later.

Will this towbar end work on a FMTV?

When I get one. The only thing I'm waiting for is one a little closer to home so I can spend more on the truck than I do on getting it home.

Will this towbar end work on a FMTV?

I don't really think there is a problem with being prepared. I have most of the AC for a LMTV and no truck yet. When I do get one, though, I'll be able to have it cooled the same week I get it.
